There are things that the light cannot accomplish. And they know of this.
[AUTO]:When this unit is rode upon by “Blaster Dark”, reveal the top card of your deck, call it to (RC) as [Rest] if it is a unit card, and discard it if it isn’t.
[CONT](RC):During your turn, if you have a vanguard with “Blaster” in its card name, this unit gets [Power]+2000.
Blaster Javelin is a staple in Blasters from Shadow Paladin. Blaster Javelin is a classic unit from the original series of Cardfight!! Vanguard. Bushiroad gave fresh artwork and new abilities for this unit in the D-Standard Format. Blaster Javelin is a key card for Blasters from the Keter Sanctuary.
D-Standard Format:
Blaster Javelin is a good choice for your ride deck. His first ability requires you to ride Blaster Dark on top of him. This action triggers the first ability of Blaster Javelin. You can consistently activate his effect with him in your ride deck.
First Ability:
Blaster Javelin superior calls the top card at rest of your deck when you ride Blaster Dark on top of him. It is a great ability to gain a resource. The extra rear-guard can provide offense on your next turn, and you may use it to fuel the cost of Phantom Blaster Dragon.
This ability supports Phantom Blaster Dragon. It sets up Phantom Blaster Dragon’s ability for a future turn in the game. You have a rear-guard to retire for your push to win the game. Phantom Blaster Dragon will retire this rear-guard for his ability.
Furthermore, a free rear-guard is a great resource. Blaster Javelin does not require a cost for this ability. You may use your counter blasts and soul blasts for other cards in your deck.
Second Ability:
Blaster Javelin gains 2,000 power during your turn when you have a Blaster for your vanguard. The additional power is helps your units to reach high numbers in battle. Blaster Javelin becomes a booster with 10,000 power.
Play these cards with Blaster Javelin (D Series) in the D-Standard Format.
- Blaster Dark (D Series)
- Phantom Blaster Dragon
Premium Format:
Blaster Javelin (D Series) is the best option for Blaster Javelin in the premium format. The version from the V series only has one ability and that version allows you to draw a card. You gain the same number of resources. The seconds ability of Blaster Javelin (D Series) adds offense to the card, and makes him a better rear-guard than his previous versions.
Furthermore, Blaster Javelin has synergy with many Shadow Paladins. His ability to superior call the top card of the deck is a useful ability. Many Shadow Paladins’ abilities require you to retire rear-guards for the cost. The free unit from Blaster Javelin adds fuel for these abilities.
Play these cards with Blaster Javelin (D Series) in the Premium Format!
Card Rating:
Overall, Blaster Javelin from the D Series is the best version of Blaster Javelin. He has effective and consistent abilities. He is the perfect staple in a Blaster deck for the D-Standard format. I recommend playing Blaster Javelin in the D-Standard and Premium formats.
