Dark Magician Girl is one of my favorite cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! She is also one of the most popular cards in the game. She provides support to the Dark Magician and Magician Girls. Her artwork is one of the best designs in the game. Some players such as myself consider Dark Magician Girl to be the most beautiful card in the game.
Anime History
Dark Magician Girl has one of the best debuts in the original anime. Yugi is in an epic duel of spellcasters against Arkana. Yugi surprises Arkana and viewers when he reveals he has a second Dark Magician. Then, he reveals Dark Magician Girl! She delivers the final attack to win the duel.
Effect
Dark Magician Girl gains 300 ATK for every Dark Magician and Magician of Black Chaos in both players’ graveyards. Dark Magician has the potential to increase her ATK from 2,000 to 3,800. The effect is useful for mirror matches. You are using your opponent’s Dark Magicians as fuel for the effect.
However, Dark Magician Girl is very dependent upon other cards to support her. She is not a great card by herself. Due to, her only effect does not provide a major advantage. You need to play many cards that have synergy with Dark Magician Girl. She has a large library of cards to support her.

A true spellcaster has many tricks up his or her sleeves. Dark Magician girl has chemistry with many cards in the Dark Magician’s library. One of my favorite cards to play with Dark Magician Girl is Magician Navigation. You special summon two powerful monsters from a single trap card! Then, Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl can be special summon in a single play!
Fusion
The Eye of Timaeus is one of the best cards to support Dark Magician Girl. I strongly recommend playing The Eye of Timaeus. You can easily special summon any fusion monster that lists Dark Magician Girl as fusion material. You do not need to use a traditional card such as Polymerization. Only two cards are required for the Fusion Summon instead of three monsters.
Furthermore, you have a few options to choose from your extra deck. Dark Magician Girl is material for very powerful fusion monsters such as Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight and The Dark Magicians. Those cards are very good monsters to play in your extra deck. You can control with field with Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight. You also have the option of manipulating the field with The Dark Magicians.

Overall, Dark Magician Girl is a very fun card and she is a useful card with the Dark Magician. She is more popular for her artwork than her effect. I enjoy playing her in my deck. Dark Magician Girl has many cards to help elevate her to being a good card in the right deck. She is the perfect sidekick for Dark Magician.
