Unit of The Week: Hexaorb Sorceress

A new revelation slumbers within the forms that are already known.

[AUTO](VC):When your drive check reveals a trigger unit, choose one of your rear-guards, and it gets [Power]+10000 until end of turn.
[ACT](VC)1/Turn:If you persona rode this turn, COST [Counter Blast (1) & Soul Blast (1)], reveal up to one [Critical] trigger or [Front] trigger from your hand and put it on the top of your deck, and this unit gets drive +1 until end of turn.

Hexaorb Sorceress is a powerful sorceress from the Keter Sanctuary. She uses magic to manipulate the deck and increase the power of rear-guards. I like her artwork. Hexaorb Sorceress has a similar design to Magus. Her design and abilities resemble the archetype of Magus.

D-Standard Format:

Hexaorb Sorceress has the ability of Persona Ride. This ability plays a major role in decks with her strategy. It is the deck’s finisher. Hexaorb Sorceress can activate her second effect after you activate Persona Ride!

First Ability:

Hexaorb Sorceress adds 10,00 power to a rear-guard when your drive check reveals a trigger unit, and this ability can activate more than once per turn. Her ability doubles the amount of power for the field when you reveal a trigger. You gain a total of 20,000 power to your offense. She swings a lot of momentum during the activation of her ability.

Furthermore, Hexaorb Sorceress pushes pressure on the opponent. You may give the 10,000 power from her ability to any rear-guard. A rear-guard can gain 10,000 power from a trigger and an additional 10,000 power from her first ability.

Pentagleam Sorceress provides consistency to Hexaorb Sorceress’s first ability. Pentagleam Sorceress rearranges the top cards of the deck. Therefore, she increases consistency to reveal trigger units during your drive checks.

Second Ability:

Hexaorb Sorceress’s second ability rewards players for activating the Persona Ride! Hexaorb Sorceress places a critical trigger or front trigger from your hand to the deck, and she gains triple drive! This ability has fantastic synergy with her first ability. You will activate it at least once during your turn.

Therefore, Hexaorb Sorceress has the probability of activating her first ability for three times in a turn. Your rear-guards will quickly gain a lot of power. You will have a major advantage on offense with the power to break the opponent’s defenses.

Premium Format:

I do not recommend Hexaorb Sorceress in a premium deck. Her abilities do not fit that particular format. She is way too slow, and you would not use her abilities over a G-Unit.

On the other hand, you may build a G-Zone with the deck from the D-Standard Format if you want to play Hexaorb Sorceress in the Premium Format. This G-Zone needs generic cards such as Zeroth Dragon of Zenith Peak, Ultima. You want strong G-Units with offensive abilities.

Card Rating:

Overall, Hexaorb Sorceress is a strong and fun unit from Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress. She has a fun deck in the D-Standard Format. Her second ability is an impressive finisher with offensive firepower. I recommend Hexaorb Sorceress to players who enjoy manipulating the deck with a style similar to Oracle Think Tank.
