Unit of The Week: Bowstring of Heaven and Earth, Artemis (V Series)

Bowstring of Heaven and Earth, Artemis

If it will disrupt the system, it must be eliminated.

[AUTO](RC):When it attacks or boosts, you may put a card from your soul face down as a divine gauge for this unit.
[ACT](RC):COST [Counter Blast (1) & Discard one of this unit’s divine gauge], choose one of your opponent’s rear-guards in the same column as this unit, and retire it.

Bowstring of Heaven and Earth, Artemis is a grade 1 unit for Genesis. Her signature weapon is a bow with four arrows! Artemis strikes the opposing rear-guards as she marches into battle! She uses Genesis’s unique ability of the divine gauge. She relies on the divine gauge to activate her strongest ability!

First ability

Bowstring of Heaven and Earth, Artemis attaches a card from your soul when she attacks your opponent or boosts a unit. This ability has chemistry with Battle Deity of the Night, Artemis, and sets up her second skill. You need a divine gauge to pay the cost for her second ability. It is essential to playing her to her full potential. Attach cards from the soul to her early and often!

Furthermore, Heaven and Earth, Artemis is the perfect rear-guard to pair with Battle Deity of the Night, Artemis!  Heaven and Earth, Artemis gains 5,000 power and trigger effects from Battle Deity of the Night, Artemis’s skill! She also gains divine protection as your opponent’s effects cannot target her when she has a divine gauge. Your opponent will want to remove her from the field because her second effect disrupts his or her field!

Play these cards with Bowstring of Heaven and Earth, Artemis!
  • Battle Deity of the Night, Artemis
  • Twilight Hunter, Artemis

Bowstring of Heaven and Earth, Artemis’s second ability retires an opponent’s rear-guard in the same column as her. You may use this ability every turn as long as you can detach a divine gauge. She shuts down your opponent’s strategy with that rear-guard. The ability is very useful against clans such as Aqua Force and Nova Grapplers. Those clans depend on their rear-guards, and Bowstring of Heaven and Earth, Artemis consistently disrupts their strategy.

Card Rating

Overall, I like the new and improve Bowstring of Heaven and Earth, Artemis. She is a strong rear-guard to play with Genesis. I like her in many decks for the clan because she controls one third of the field. Her ability to retire the opposing rear-guards is very effective. I can counter my opponent’s strategy, and also remove an interceptor from his or her field.

Card Rating: 4 out of 5 stars (4 / 5)
