Bushiroad introduces a new form of Blaster Blade! This version of Blaster Blade includes the Fighter Icon of Aichi! The legendary hero from planet Cray wields his powerful blade. He unleashes two abilities. He retains his classic ability to retire an opponent’s rear-guard. This unit has a new ability to increase his offensive potential!

D-Standard Format:

Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon) is the grade two unit in the ride deck for the units with the Aichi Icon. He is a useful vanguard in the early game. He can retire an opponent’s unit.

Furthermore, Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon) is also a strong rear-guard for the deck. He maintains the ability to retire a unit when he is a vanguard. He also gains power with his second ability.

First Ability:

Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon) retires an opponent’s unit when you ride or call this unit to the field. This ability requires you to reveal a grade three unit with the Aichi icon from the ride deck or your vanguard must be a grade three unit with the Aichi icon. You may pay one counter blast or three energy blasts for this ability.

In addition, Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon) allows you to draw a card. You get an extra draw for the turn. This ability provides faster access to the deck’s resources.

Furthermore, you have the advantage with this ability if you are the second ability. The energy generator charges three energies if you went second. Your energy generator will pay the cost of this ability when you ride Blaster Blaster Blade (Fight Icon).

Second Ability:

Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon) gains 10,000 power when he attacks a grade three or greater vanguard, and you have a grade three vanguard with the Aichi Icon. The with the Aichi Icons consistently fulfill this requirement.

Therefore, Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon) has a total of 20,000 power. He can hit any opponent’s vanguard without a boost. You can create a powerful column with the right unit in the back row behind him. A powerful boost will add more pressure on the opponent. King of Knights, Alfred (Fighter Icon) and Soul Saver Dragon (D Series) have the Icon.

For instance, Wingal (D Series) is one of the best boosters for Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon). These units create a strong column and will pressure the opponent. Wingal (D Series) provides a boost of 13,000 power. Therefore, Blaster Blade (Fight Icon) has a total of 33,000 power with his ability and the boost from Wingal (D Series).

Support:

Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon) is support for the archetype of Royal Paladins with the Aichi Icon. He requires a pure deck of units with the Aichi Icon. He has synergy with many units from this archetype. 

Furthermore, Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon) and King of Knights, Alfred (Fighter Icon) are a dynamic duo. They have synergy like all of their versions from every format. King of Knights, Alfred (Fighter Icon) may superior call Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon) and add 5,000 power to Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon)! Therefore, Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon) has a total of 25,000 power from all abilities!

Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon) has limitations in the premium format. This unit requires units with the Fighter Icon of Aichi in a deck. You will only get the full potential of this card within the group of Fighter Icons for Aichi.

Furthermore, Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon) has support from many G-Units. Royal Paladin has many G-Units for Blasters and generic G-Units for all Royal Paladins. These cards create many combos with this card.

For instance, Divine Knight King, Alfred Holy Saver is a strong G-Unit, and he supports all forms of Blaster Blade. This G-Unit gives twin drive to Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon). This grade two unit has drive checks and increases your odds of a trigger.

Overall, Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon) is a great addition to this style of Royal Paladin in the D-Standard Format. He provides offense for his deck. He also controls the field. Many units from Royal Paladin with the Aichi Icon have synergy with this unit. Therefore, I recommend playing Blaster Blade (Fighter Icon) in your deck!
