Bushiroad retained Liberator of Royalty, Phallon with new abilities for the V-Premium format! This card is also legal in the premium format. This unit is a grade 2 unit and Gold Paladin. He is also part of the Liberators.

First Ability:

Liberator of Royalty, Phallon is a reliable rear-guard with good offense. Liberator of Royalty, Phallon gains 5,000 power for the turn if you superior call a rear-guard from the deck. The ability increases his power to 14,000. He is able to hit an opponent’s vanguard without a boost.

In addition, Accel markers increase the offensive power from Liberator of Royalty, Phallon. He has 24,000 power on an Accel I marker, and he has 19,000 power on an Accel II marker. He becomes a strong rear-guard with a reliable offense.

Furthermore, Liberator of Royalty, Phallon has fantastic synergy with Bluish Flame Liberator, Percival (V Series). Bluish Flame Liberator, Percival (V Series) superior calls Oath Liberator, Aglovale (V Series) from the deck. You gain an Accel marker to place an additional attacker on the field. Liberator of Royalty, Phallon meets his conditions, and he gains 5,000 power.

Second Ability:

Liberator of Royalty, Phallon enables multiple attacks from your rear-guards. Liberator of Royalty, Phallon superior calls the top card of the deck to the field if his attack hits the opponent’s vanguard. You gain an additional unit for offense. This ability pressure the opponent with an additional attack.

Furthermore, Liberator of Royalty, Phallon has synergy with many Gold Paladins. Some Gold Paladins have abilities that activate effects when you superior call them. You can create powerful combos for the main phase and battle phase.

For example: Knight of Strong Favors, Berengaria and Listener of Truth, Dindrane are great cards for counter charging damage. They activate their abilities when you superior call them. Liberator of Royal, Phallon complements their abilities. You gain a new unit and regain a counterblast with this combo.

Flaw:

However, the second ability of Liberator of Royalty, Phallon has a major flaw. The ability only allows you to superior call the top card of the deck. It does not provide the option to choose a card unlike other rear-guards with similar abilities. You may be forced to superior call a trigger with low power, and a trigger does not provide value on offense.

Premium Format:

Liberator of Royalty, Phallon from the V Series is a major upgrade from the original card. I recommend playing the card from the V Series in the premium format. He has better effects and generates more offense than his original version.

Furthermore, many G-Units with the ability to superior call units have synergy with Liberator of Royalty, Phallon. You can create multiple attacks in the battle phase, and overwhelm the opponent. Your rear-guards are sending an onslaught at the opponent.

For example, you gain two additional rear-guards for offense with this combo. Golden Dragon, Brambent Dragon may superior call Liberator of Royalty, Phallon. This action sets up the powerful combo. Liberator of Royalty, Phallon superior calls an additional rear-guard if his attack units.

Card Rating:

Overall, Liberator of Royalty, Phallon is an effective rear-guard for Gold Paladins in the V-Premium and Premium formats. He provides a nice offense with his first ability. His second ability opens the door for additional attacks, but it has a flaw of randomness. I recommend playing Liberator of Royalty, Phallon with Liberators.
