Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Review: Trickstar Reincarnation

[Trap]

Banish your opponent’s entire hand, and if you do, they draw the same number of cards. You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 “Trickstar” monster in your GY; Special Summon it.

Trickstar Reincarnation is a trap card for Trickstar, and it is one of the best cards in the archetype. It is a unique card because you may activate it on the field or in your graveyard. Trickstar Reincarnation has two effects with amazing abilities. One effect activates on the field, and the other effect activates in the graveyard.

First Effect:

Trickstar Reincarnation banishes the opponent’s entire hand and the opponent draws the same amount of cards. This effect provides a huge advantage if you know the opponent’s hand. Trickstar Reincarnation prevents opponents from playing their best cards in many scenarios. Your tactic helps you to potentially avoid the opponent’s best cards and plays.

However, Trickstar Reincarnation may backfire against particular decks. For example, Elemental HERO The Shining gains 300 ATK for each banished Elemental HERO. Trickstar Reincarnation would strengthen the opponent’s monster.

Another example is the effect of Pot of Acquisitiveness. It minimizes the damage from Trickstar Reincarnation. Pot of Acquisitiveness returns three banished monsters to the deck and its player draws a card.

Second Effect:

You may banish Trickstar Reincarnation from your graveyard to special summon any monster with Trickstar in its name from your graveyard. This effect is an extremely useful ability when you need a monster. It gives access to replay Trickstars from the graveyard.

Therefore, you are regaining a powerful monster without a major cost. Your new Trickstar will be ready for action. You only need to banish Trickstar reincarnation.

Furthermore, an opponent is unlikely to prevent the activation of the second effect. Trickstar Reincarnation activates in your graveyard. Its place in the graveyard offers protection from the opponent. You can activate Trickstar Reincarnation without any interference and replay one of your best Trickstars.

Add Trickstar Reincarnation to your hand!

Consistency adds a lot of value to a card. Other cards can add Trickstar Reincarnation to your hand. You will be ready to set and activate this amazing trap card.

For example, Trickstar Candina adds a card with Trickstar in its name from the deck to your hand. Therefore, you may use to effect to search the deck and add Trickstar Reincarnation to your hand. It is a simple combo without a cost. You only need to normal summon Trickstar Candina to activate the effect.
