Crowley, the First Propheseer

[Spellcaster/Link/Effect]

ATK/1,000 LINK-2

2 Spellcaster monsters
If this card is Link Summoned: You can reveal 3 “Spellbook” cards with different names from your Deck, and your opponent randomly picks 1 for you to add to your hand, also shuffle the rest into your Deck. You can only use this effect of “Crowley the First Propheseer” once per turn. Each turn, 1 Level 5 or higher Spellcaster monster you Normal Summon can be Summoned without Tributing.

Crowley, the First Propheseer is a member of the Prophecy archetype. Crowley, the First Propheseer requires two Spellcasters to Link Summon him. The low cost makes it easy to special summon him from your Extra Deck. Crowley, the First Propheseer supports Spellbooks and Spellcasters from all archetypes. All decks with Spellcasters can benefit from his second effect.

Crowley, the First Propheseer’s first effect searches for three Spellbook cards with different names, and your opponent randomly chooses which card to add to your hand. You gain a free card when this card is summoned to your field. You are rewarded for summoning it. I like this card’s ability to give quick access to my best Spellbooks. The best strategy is to reveal three cards that would give an advantage to you at the moment.

Furthermore, you can choose any three Spellbook cards from your deck. This means you can choose monsters and Spell cards. Spellbook Magician of Prophecy is one of the best cards for this effect. This monster also searches for a Spellbook spell card to add to your hand. Thus, you are adding cards from the deck to your hand and thinning your deck to your advantage.

Play these cards with Crowley, the First Propheseer!

Crowley, the First Propheseer’s second effect normal summons one level five or higher Spellcaster without a tribute once per turn. You are summoning a strong monster without paying the cost. Thus, this effect saves resources for special summons. A monster with a strong attack can deliver serious damage to your opponent. Your new monster makes up for Crowley, the First Propheseer’s mediocre ATK of 1,000

Dark Magician decks

Furthermore, Crowley, the First Propheseer is a fantastic card to play in Dark Magician decks. He normal summons the ultimate magician in terms of attack and defense. You can also normal summon his support such as Dark Magician Girl with the effect. In addition to your normal summon, the second effect helps set up special summons from your Extra Deck. You can proceed to special summon a powerful monster from your Extra Deck by using Dark Magician as material.

Overall, Crowley, the First Propheseer is a great card to play in every Spellcaster deck. I am playing this card in my Dark Magician deck. This card is very easy to special summon with two Spellcasters. Its second effect is a useful ability for every Spellcaster deck. You are special summoning a strong monster for free.
