Blue Wings of Great Cause, Phayllos

We of the Blue Wings accomplish the mission in a perfect manner.

[AUTO](VC/RC)1/Turn:When your drive check reveals a [Heal] trigger, you may [Stand] this unit.
[AUTO](RC)1/Turn:When it attacks a vanguard, if you have another unit with “Blue Wings” in its card name, COST [Counter Blast (1) & Soul Blast (1)], and this unit gets [Power]+5000 until end of turn. If you have four or more other units with “Blue Wings” in their card names, [Stand] this unit instead of [Power]+5000.

Blue Wings of Great Cause, Phayllos is a member of the Blue Wings. the Blue Wings is an exclusive archetype of Aqua Force for the standard format. Each card in this archetype shares the same effect of standing when a drive check reveals a Heal trigger. The Blue Wings only have five cards at the time of this article. I will update this information if the archetype gets new cards.

Blue Wings of Great Cause, Phayllos’s first effect stands him when your drive check reveals a Heal trigger! This is a unique method to stand units for Aqua Force. The effect is free without requiring a counterblast or soul blast. Unfortunately, the likelihood of this occurring is 15.8%, and I will not solely rely on this effect to gain extra attacks. You have better options for standing him in combat.

  • Blue Wings of Faith, Basilia
  • Blue Wings of Obduracy, Simeon

Blue Wings of Great Cause, Phayllos’s second effect gives him 5,000 power if you have another unit with Blue Wings in its name on the field. If you have four or more units with Blue Wings on the field, then you can stand him instead of giving 5,000 to him. This effect is amazing when Blue Wings of Great Cause, Phayllos is on an Accel circle. You are generating a lot of offense on the field. He would be a rear-guard with 19,000 power, and he attacks twice in a single battle phase.

Finally, Blue Wings of Great Cause, Phayllos has some support from his fellow Blue Wings. They work in perfect harmony like a rock band. However, there are not enough cards for a pure deck of Blue Wings. You may not be able to use Blue Wings of Great Cause, Phayllos’s second effect on every turn. I want the archetype to get future support. Then, Blue Wings of Great Cause, Phayllos can be a very consistent card.

Overall, Blue Wings of Great Cause, Phayllos is a good card with a lot of potential to become a great card. His first effect is just a bonus ability if you get a lucky Heal Trigger. The card’s true potential is in the second effect. His second skill is great for standing him in combat for an additional attack. He just needs more Blue Wings to become a more consistent card, and he will become an amazing card if Blue Wings receive a grade 3 vanguard with Accel.
