If you control no monsters, or only “Amazoness” monsters: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can Set 1 “Amazoness” Spell/Trap or 1 “Polymerization” directly from your Deck, also you can only attack with “Amazoness” monsters for the rest of this turn. You can only use each effect of “Amazoness War Chief” once per turn.
Amazoness War Chief is a level five monster. This card is a key card for Amazoness because it provides consistency to the deck. Consistency is an important trait for every deck. This effect monster has it in both of her strong effects.
First Effect:
Amazoness War Chief is consistently a free special summon at any time during a duel. Her effect special summons her from your hand if you do not control any monsters or all of your monsters have Amazoness in their names. You play a free monster. This is a huge advantage for combos and the consistency of a deck.
Furthermore, Amazoness War Chief is always an available option when she is in your hand. You only need to special summon this card and you never need to use your normal summon for her. A pure deck of Amazoness always meet the conditions of this free effect.
In addition, this special summon sets up a variety of plays with strong combos. This effect interacts with many cards such as Amazoness Silver Sword Master and Amazoness Golden Whip Master. These monsters’ effects activate abilities when you effect this effect for a special summon.
For example, Amazoness War Chief and Amazoness Silver Sword Master are a dynamic duo. Their effects complement each other. The special summon of Amazoness War Chief triggers the effect of Amazoness Silver Sword Master in the graveyard. Amazoness Silver Sword Master places herself in the Pendulum Zone, and increases the ATK of your Amazoness monsters by 100 ATK for each of their levels. Then, Amazoness War Chief gains 500 ATK, and her total ATK is 2,400.
Second Effect:
You may set an Amazoness spell, an Amazoness trap, or a Polymerization from the deck to the field when you normal or special summon Amazoness War Chief. This effect is providing a free card without a cost. You only need to play this monster. It enables your strategy for you setting a card or adding Polymerization for an upcoming fusion summon.
Furthermore, this effect maintains your resources after the first effect special summons Amazoness War Chief. The addition of Polymerization or the new card on the field compensate for the special summon. You regain the same number of resources.

For instance, Amazoness Pet Liger King requires a level 5 or higher monster with Amazoness in its name and an additional monster with Amazoness in its name. Amazoness War Chief fits the requirement due to her level as five, and you only need an additional monster. You can fusion summon one of the archetype’s strongest monsters in terms of ATK.

This effect monster provides the important advantage of consistency. This card special summons herself without a cost. She also provides key cards from the deck for you may consistently play your combos. Therefore, I recommend playing three copies of Amazoness War Chief in your deck.
