Unit of The Week: Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit (V Series)

[CONT](VC):During your turn, if your opponent’s vanguard is grade 3 or greater, this unit and all of your units placed by a card’s ability this turn get [Power]+5000 for each of your additional (RC).
[AUTO](VC)1/Turn:When it attacks or is attacked, COST [Counter Blast (1)], look at five cards from the top of your deck, call up to two cards from among them to (RC), and shuffle your deck. If it is your opponent’s turn, call them to (GC) instead of (RC).

One of my favorite units from Cardfight!! Vanguard G was Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit. I played Gold Paladins during the G-format, and they were my favorite deck. Bushiroad has finally retrained the golden knight with orange hair. Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit returns to Cardfight!! Vanguard for the standard format. He has amazing abilities for offense and defense!

First Ability:

Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit and your rear-guards placed by an ability this turn gain 5,000 power for each of your Accel circles. This ability creates powerful units in the front row. For example, Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit gains 10,000 power if you have two Accel circles.

As a game continues, Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit becomes a stronger card throughout the match. You can ride a copy of him to gain an additional Imaginary Gift: Accel. The field will have a strong formation of units to pressure the opponent.

Furthermore, Bluish Flame Liberator, Percival is a fantastic card to play with Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit. Bluish Flame Liberator, Percival creates an Imaginary Gift: Accel, and his ability is an act. You can consistently create additional rear-guard circles during every turn. Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit and your rear-guards placed by abilities this turn gain a large amount of power.

Second Ability:

Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit also superior calls two cards from the top five cards of the deck when he attacks or is attacked by the opponent. This ability is a similar version of Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit’s Generation Break from Cardfight!! Vanguard G. He superior calls units for offense during your turn and for defense during the opponent’s turn.

During your turn, Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit superior calls his fellow Gold Paladins to join him in battle. You instantly add more offense to pressure the opponent. You may superior call these two rear-guards to Accel circles for they can gain additional power from the circles and Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit’s first ability!

Furthermore, Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit creates a strong defense. If you are low on cards in your hand, then use the second ability to block an opponent’s attack. The ability saves cards in your hand.

In addition, Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit bypasses restrictions from cards such as Dragonic Waterfall. Those types of cards prevent players from playing a sentinel from the hand. Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit superior calls the sentinel from the deck. You are able to block an opponent’s attack with this ability!

Premium Format:

With his defensive ability, Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit is an upgrade from the original card for the premium format. He has a more efficient defensive ability. You can activate the ability at any stage of the game because it is not restricted by Generation Break.

Furthermore, Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit has a lot of support from Cardfight!! Vanguard G. He has three versions as G-Units. One of the best G-Units to play with him is Master Swordsman of First Light, Gurguit Helios. You have the ability to obtain four drive checks.

Overall, Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit is a fun and nicely balanced unit. Gold Paladin in both formats has amazing cards to play with Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit. He adds defense and interaction in Cardfight!! Vanguard. You activate his defensive ability during your opponent’s turn. You are always interacting by superior calling units during your turn or setting up a strong defense during the opponent’s turn.
