Falling Pentagonal

[CONT](VC):The [Power] increase of trigger effects revealed for your drive check get +5000.
[AUTO](VC):When it attacks, COST [Soul Blast (1) grade 3 & discard five cards from your hand], and this unit gets drive +3 until end of that battle. The number of cards discarded from your hand for this cost is reduced by one for each rear-guard with “Magus” in its card name in your front row.

Pentagonal Magus is a vanguard in Oracle Think Tank and a member of the Magus archetype. She has been retrained with new skills and fantastic art. Her new artwork is a huge improve from her original’s art. She looks very confident and has a strong determination. Pentagonal Magus is one of the best Oracle Think Tank cards in the standard format. She is Misaki’s avatar in the first season of Cardfight!! Vanguard V.

Pentagonal Magus’s first skill increases the power of triggers by 5,000. This skill is amazing for adding a lot of pressure on your opponent. You can apply the power to your vanguard or rear-guards. Furthermore, this ability forces your opponent to guard with a lot of cards. Your opponent must consider the large amount of power from this skill.

Play these cards with Pentagonal Magus!

Pentagonal Magus’s second skill gains three drive checks for a total of five drive checks. You must discard five cards, but you can reduce this amount to three cards if you have two Magus units in the front row. This skill is one of the most devastating skills in the game. Your Magus units manipulate your deck to place triggers on top. You will be checking many triggers and gaining a large amount of power from her first skill. It is the perfect finisher for Magus decks.

Combo: Pentagonal Magus’s Dramatic Finish!
  1. Ride Pentagonal Magus as your new vanguard!
  2. Call Cuore Magus to the field. Look at the top two cards of your deck. Place a normal unit on top of the deck and the trigger unit as the second card on the deck.
  3. Call Tetra Magus to the field, and use her skill to place a critical trigger on the top of your deck.
  4. Pentagonal Magus attacks your opponent’s vanguard and uses her skills.
  5. Check the top five cards of your deck and at least two cards will be triggers.
The Premium Format

I do not recommend playing Pentagonal Magus in this format. Pentagonal Magus is not an effective card in the premium format. Her skills are too slow, and players would play G-Units instead of her skill. Furthermore, Oracle Think Tank has better cards for premium format such as CEO Amaterasu and Hexagonal Magus. Hexagonal Magus is a more effective vanguard in the premium format because her skills activate when she becomes your vanguard.

Overall, Pentagonal Magus is a great vanguard in the standard format. Her second skill is a powerful finisher that can dominate the competition. Her ability to drive check five cards gives you a major advantage. Pentagonal Magus’s supporting cast of Rectangle Magus and Tetra Magus sets up this great skill. You will be checking triggers, and claiming victory.
