Unit of The Week: Shura Stealth Dragon, Kujikiricongo

[AUTO](VC):When your opponent’s rear-guard is returned to his or her hand by your card ability, your opponent cannot call cards with the same grade as the returned card until end of turn.

Shura Stealth Dragon, Kujikiricongo is an abyss dragon in Nubatama. This card was released in Miyaji Academy Cardfight Club. His skills weaken your opponent’s defenses. This is a unique strategy for a card with the Imaginary Gift: Protect. A defensive card enhances your defense with a Protect marker. and has skills to weaken the opponent’s defense.

First Skill

Shura Stealth Dragon, Kujikiricongo discards one card from your opponent’s hand if he or she has four or more cards in hand. Your opponent has one less card for his or her defense. You gain an offensive advantage by weakening your opponent’s defenses. It is a different approach from gaining power to gain an advantage. This skill makes it slightly easier to damage your opponent with a smaller hand.

Furthermore, it is an effective skill for reducing your opponent’s resources. Shura Stealth Dragon, Kujikiricongo is disrupting your opponent’s strategy. He or she must adjust their strategy. Your opponent may be forced to discard a key card. This skill greatly impairs certain clans such as Aqua Force and Nova Grappler.

Second Skill

Shura Stealth Dragon, Kujikiricongo also does not allow your opponent to call a card with a particular grade if one of your effects returned a rear-guard with the same grade to the opponent’s hand. It is a great skill for restricting your opponent’s defenses. The perfect strategy is to return a rear-guard with a grade of one or zero to the opponent’s hands. Then, play a card such as Stealth Dragon, Dreadmaster to trigger this skill. Your opponent is unable to call a perfect guard during the battle phase if he or she is playing draw triggers that are perfect guards.

Premium Format

Unfortunately, Shura Stealth Dragon, Kujikiricongo is an ineffective card for the premium format. Both of his skills requires him to be your vanguard. You will be striding a G-Unit during every turn. He offers a very small value in the premium format. Shura Stealth Dragon, Kujikiricongo will only give a Protect marker to you, and call it a day.

Card Rating

Overall, Shura Stealth Dragon, Kujikiricongo is a good card for a budget deck in the standard format. Shura Stealth Dragon, Kujikiricongo weakens our opponent’s defense and may disrupt his or her strategy. Its’ ability to force your opponent to discard a card is a strong skill. He or she loses an important card for the game. Then, Shura Stealth Dragon, Kujikiricongo strikes the opposing vanguard without its best defensive cards.
