I’ll annihilate the world to save it. That is my way.

Blue Wave Marshal, Valeos is the founder of the Aqua Force. He is one of the most powerful members of the Aqua Force. In addition, Blue Wave Marshal, Valeos is one of the apostles of Gyze. The leader of the Aqua Force specializes in multiple attacks and weakening the opponent’s vanguard.

V-Standard Format:

Many players will notice Blue Wave Marshal, Valeos to not have an Imaginary Gift: Accel. He compensates the lack of a marker with his three abilities. All three abilities complement each other and set up the finisher.

First Ability:

Blue Wave Marshal, Valeos weakens the opponent’s defense with his first ability. A lot of pressure from your offense can push an opponent into a corner. Blue Wave Marshal, Valeos decreases the opponent’s vanguard’s power by 5,000. In addition, the opponent’s vanguard’s power cannot change for the rest of the turn.

Furthermore, this ability complements Blue Wave Marshal, Valeos’s third ability. All of your units will have an opportunity to deal damage. The opponent’s vanguard will have 7,000 or 8,000 power. Your units will have more power than the opponent’s vanguard. Therefore, the opponent needs to use additional cards for defense in a single turn.

Second Ability:

Blue Wave Marshal, Valeos superior calls up to five units from your drop zone. This ability provides a major advantage to Aqua Force. The clan’s greatest weakness is a management of resources. You gain five rear-guards for discarding a card with the same name as Blue Wave Marshal, Valeos.

However, you lose any advantages from markers. If you ride a unit with an Imaginary Gift: Accel, then you will lose the marker from this ability. This one disadvantage hurts the overall value of Blue Wave Marshal, Valeos.

Third Ability:

Blue Wave Marshall, Valeos allows you to exchange your rear-guards’ positions after battle. This ability enables multiple attacks from each rear-guard in your left and right columns. You will have a minimum of five attacks for the turn. Your units will pressure your opponent’s weaken vanguard.

Premium Format:

Unfortunately, this version of Blue Wave Marshal, Valeos is not a good card for the premium format. All of his abilities only activate effects when he is your vanguard. He is not a good choice for card from Cardfight!! Vanguard V for the premium format.

I only recommend playing generic G-Units with Blue Wave Marshal, Valeos in the premium format. Generic G-Units will give the most advantages to you. These cards do not rely on a particular archetype. Aqua Force has generic G-Units with useful abilities such as Torrent of Determination, Valeos Revive.

Furthermore, Torrent of Determination, Valeos Revive has a similar ability to Blue Wave Marshal, Valeos. His G-Unit counterpart also does not allow an opponent’s vanguard’s power to increase or decrease with the exception of guardians. The opponent has a disadvantage on defense.

Card Rating:

Overall, Blue Wave Marshal, Valeos is a technical vanguard with strong abilities. He is a playable card in the V-Standard Format. His flaws of lacking an Imaginary Gift: Accel and the removal of markers hurt his value. Aqua Force wants to create additional circles for a wave of offense. Blue Wave Marshal, Valeos creates a wave of offense from his second ability, but Aqua Force has better decks with a more efficient offense.
