Unit of The Week: Beast Deity, Azure Dragon

Battleship? Fortress? Bring it on, that is the Nova Grapple!

[AUTO](VC):[Choose a card named “Beast Deity, Azure Dragon” from your hand, and discard it] When this unit’s attack hits a vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you do, choose up to two of your rear-guards, and [Stand] them.

Stand Up! Stand Up! Stand Up! This is how the Nova Grapplers roll! Beast Deity, Azure Dragon is ready to stand up! He helped his friend Blond Ezel crush the Void and is once again battle along since Cray’s greatest warriors to vanquish Link Joker and the Void once and for all!

Beast Deity, Azure Dragon’s Persona Blast stays true to the Nova Grappler’s roughhousing battle style! If Azure Dragon’s attack hits then his Persona Blast activates, and allows two of his comrades to stand back up in the rear guard. Always stand a unit in the same column as Beast Deity, Riot Horn to trigger his skill for can get boost the standing unit!

In addition, combine Beast Deity, Azure Dragon’s skill with Beast Deity, Ethics Buster‘s skill by break riding it above Ethics Buster. This can be a very good finisher in the late game. Azure Dragon will be able to stand the back row’s boosters and Ethics Buster can stand the front row’s rear guard units. This will give you another full power onslaught from the rear guards to give intense pressure to the opponent.

Furthermore, many rear guards can activate more combos with Beast Deity, Azure Dragon’s Persona Blast skill. Let’s look at a few examples! Beast Deity, Golden Anglet becomes a 12k attacker when he stands back up! If Azure Dragon’s twin drive check reveals a grade 3, unit then Death Army Guy can stand back up to boost the front row units that just stood back up. Use Azure Dragon’s skill stand up Dancing Wolf to be a 10,000 booster for a newly standing front row rear guard unit.

In conclusion, Beast Deity, Azure Dragon loves to rumble with his buddies when his Persona Blast stands them back up! He stands to be a very respectable vanguard that can be a powerful force when played correctly. His only setback is that his attack must hit or he will be unable to activate his Persona Blast. This will prevent you from unleashing two more powerful attacks on your opponent.
