[Warrior / Tuner / Effect]
ATK/ 1,700 DEF/ 1,000
During your Main Phase: You can send the top 2 cards of your Deck to the GY, then if any “Lightsworn” monsters were sent to the GY by this effect, this card gains 200 ATK until the end of your opponent’s turn. You can only use this effect of “Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn” once per turn. Once per turn, during your End Phase: Send the top 2 cards of your Deck to the GY.
Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn is a warrior and member of the Lightsworns from Yu-Gi-Oh! This card was first released in the Realm of Light Structure Deck. He continues to be an important card in Lightsworn decks. Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn is a Tuner Monster, and has two powerful effects. He is one of the best and most consistent cards in his archetype.
First Effect
Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn is a great card to draw in your opening hand. His first effect sends the top two cards of the deck to the graveyard, and then he gains 200 ATK if you sent any cards with Lightsworn in their names. This ability starts Lightsworn’s strategy to enable your other monster’s abilities. You want to send cards to your graveyard early and often. Then, you are quickly able to special summon Judgment Dragon.
Second Effect
Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn has the typical effect as most Lightsworn monsters. He mills the top two cards of your deck during the End Phase. You have the opportunity to send four Lightsworn monsters to your graveyard with Raiden’s two effects. There is a chance to have a lot of resources in the graveyard. It is a strong advantage to send four Lightsworn monsters to the graveyard in a single turn.
Synchro Summon!
Finally, Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn is a Tuner Monster, and summons your Synchro Monsters! I think he is the best Tuner Monster in the deck. Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner is one of the strongest cards to play alongside Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn. Their levels equal seven, and they can Synchro Summon powerful monsters. The ideal card to Synchro summon is Michael, the Arch-Lightsworn.
Play these cards with Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn!
