First Effect:

Junk Warrior gains ATK equal to the ATK of all of your level two or lower monsters on the field if this card was synchro summoned. This effect offers a lot of potential for Junk Warrior. This card can now overcome monsters with higher attacks points than this card’s original attack points.

Therefore, the best strategy is controlling level one and level two monsters with a respectable amount of ATK. Monsters such as Doppelwarrior and Assault Sonic Warrior are good options. Doppelwarrior has 800 ATK and Assault Sonic Warrior has 1,000 ATK.

For example, Junk Warrior gains 1,000 ATK when your field has Assault Sonic Warrior when you synchro summon Junk Warrior. Therefore, Junk Warrior has a total of 3,300 ATK. He can inflict 3,300 damage from a direct attack or he can destroy a powerful monster such as Blue-Eyes White Dragon in battle.

Synchro Summon:

Junk Warrior requires Junk Synchron and one or more non-tuner monsters. He requires a specific tuner monster. Junk Synchron is level three and the other material may be a level two monster.

You can quickly synchro summon Junk Warrior with Junk Synchron and Junk Converter. The effects of these monsters enable this synchro summon. You can discard Junk Converter to the graveyard and add Junk Synchron to the hand. Then, you may normal summon Junk Synchron, and the effect of Junk Synchron special summons Junk Converter. You may now use Junk Synchron and Junk Converter as synchro materials and synchro summon Junk Warrior.

In addition, Assault Sonic Warrior is a good choice for synchro material. Assault Sonic Warrior adds 500 attack points to all of your monsters until the end of the turn when you use it as synchro material. Therefore, Junk Warrior has 2,800 ATK until the end of the turn due to this effect monster’s ability.

Synchro Material

Junk Warrior can also be used as material for synchro summons. It is a level five monster, and it can be a great option as material for some synchro summons. You can play a stronger synchro monster.

For instance, you synchro summon Junk Warrior Extreme with Junk Warrior as one of the materials. You can quickly enable this strategy with Synchro Chase. This spell card special summons a monster from the graveyard used as material for the synchro summon of Junk Warrior. Therefore, you may special summon Junk Synchron from the graveyard. You may now use Junk Warrior and Junk Synchron as materials and synchro summon Junk Warrior Extreme.

Support:

Junk Warrior is a card in multiple archetypes. This card fits in decks for Junk and Warrior. Cards from both archetypes often synergize with each other. These archetypes provide protection for this card. Many cards from Warrior may increase this synchro monster’s attack points.

Junk Armor provides protection for Junk Warrior. Junk Armor prevents the opponent from targeting Junk Warrior with a card’s effect. This effect monster prevents cards such as Knightmare Cerberus from destroying this synchro monster because those cards targets other cards.

Rush Warrior is useful support during the battle phase. This effect monster can double Junk Warrior’s attack points during battle. You may discard Rush Warrior during a battle and Junk Warrior’s ATK becomes 4,600. This synchro monster can overcome powerful monsters with this strategy.

Scrap Warrior is an effective synchro monster on the field alongside Junk Warrior. Scrap Warrior prevents the opponent from negating the effects of your monsters with Warrior in their names. The opponent will be unable to counter this part of your strategy. An opponent will be unable to negate Junk Warrior’s effect when you synchro summon it.

Support: Assault Mode

Junk Warrior is also part of the archetype of Assault Mode. This archetype summons a unique version of this card with different effects. It is a tribute for the special summon of Junk Warrior/Assault Mode. Assault Mode Activate is the trap for the tribute of Junk Warrior and special summon of Junk Warrior/Assault Mode. This trap uses synchro monsters as tributes for unique versions of those monsters. Assault Mode Activate tributes Junk Warrior and specials summons Junk Warrior/Assault Mode.

Furthermore, Junk Warrior/Assault Mode is a stronger version of Junk Warrior. This effect monster has 2,800 ATK and gains 1,000 ATK with each monster with Assault Mode in its name on your field. This card can inflict a large amount of damage because it gains a large amount of attack points with its effect. It also special summons Junk Warrior if Junk Warrior/Assault Mode is destroyed.

However, the strategy for Junk Warrior/Assault Mode has a lot of requirements. It can be a difficult tactic because an opponent can interrupt any step. This strategy requires many resources. You must first synchro summon Junk Warrior, and you must successfully activate Assault Mode. You will be playing a minimum of four cards for the special summon of one effect monster.

Matchups: Disadvantages

Junk Warrior has a few weaknesses. First, this synchro monster does not have any inherent protection. Second, this card is dependent on level one and two monsters for its effect.

Cards with the ability to negate effects counter Junk Warrior’s effect. Effect Veiler and Infinite Impermanence will negate Junk Warrior’s effect. The ATK of this synchro monster remains at 2,300.

Furthermore, Junk Warrior depends on level one and two monsters for its first effect. An opponent can destroy or remove those monsters from the field before the synchro summon of this card. This tactic by any opponent prevents Junk Warrior from increasing its attack points with its first effect.

Card Rating:

Overall Junk Warrior is a decent synchro monster. Decks can consistently synchro summon this card from the extra deck. It can provide a lot of offense with its first effect. Many cards can enhance this card on the field. Therefore, I recommend playing Junk Warrior in your deck.

Card Rating: 3.0 out of 5.0 stars
