Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Review: Elemental HERO Necroshade

[Warrior/Effect]

ATK/1,600 DEF/1,800

Once, while this card is in the GY, you can Normal Summon 1 Level 5 or higher “Elemental HERO” monster without Tributing.

Elemental HERO Necroshade is a warrior at level five. This warrior has decent stats of 1,600 ATK and 1,800 DEF for his level. Elemental HERO Necroshade has one effect for high level Elemental Heroes. He provides a secondary option for normal summoning Elemental Heroes at level five or greater.

Effect:

Elemental HERO Necroshade’s only effect activates its ability when he is in the graveyard. He allows you to normal summon a level 5 or higher Elemental HERO without a tribute. Your field now has a strong monster and the effect sets up possible combos with your new monster.

Furthermore, this effect saves your resources. You may keep your other Elemental Heroes on the field, and use them for other summons. They may create powerful fusions, link summons, or XYZ summons with the proper conditions.

Therefore, Elemental HERO Necroshade has more value in the graveyard than on your field. He does not have impressive stats. His effect may potentially play an Elemental HERO with higher stats and a better effect.

The downside of this effect is the summon to be a normal summon instead of a special summon. An effect uses your only normal summon for the turn. You must choose the card wisely.

Normal summon these monsters with Elemental HERO Necroshade.

Elemental HERO Necroshade is a decent card for a nice effect. This card is not a major player in competitive decks. I recommend playing Elemental HERO Necroshade in a casual deck for Elemental HERO. You can create fun plays with this monster’s effect.
