Coral has splashed into the D-Standard Format. Bushiroad has retrained Shiny Star, Coral for the D-Standard Format. This grade two unit has two abilities. She is part of Coral’s ride deck. She provides resources and offense with her abilities.

Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) is part of the ride deck for Coral. Her first ability is a vanguard’s ability. Her second ability is a rear-guard ability. The ideal is strategy is placing one copy of Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) in the ride deck and three copies of the card in the main deck.

Furthermore, Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) has standard stats for a grade two unit. She has 10,000 power and 5,000 shield. You can increase these stats with the abilities of other cards in the archetype.

First Ability:

Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) returns a rear-guard to the hand when she attacks a unit. This ability allows you to call a rear-guard, and it return it to the hand before the end of the turn. This strategy protects the unit from the opponent. You may play the card on the next turn.

Furthermore, this ability enables an aggressive strategy during the early game. You may call a rear-guard in the front row for offense. This rear-guard engages in the first battle. Then, Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) returns the unit to your hand.

Therefore, you may call the same unit to the field on your next turn. Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) allows the former rear-guard to avoid any of the opponent’s effects on the next turn. The unit is safe in the hand.

Second Ability:

Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) provides a lot of resources and offense with her second ability. Shiny Star, Coral allows you to draw a card, and she energy charges one point. She also adds 5,000 power to one of your rear-guards. This ability only activates its effect when your grade three or greater vanguard with Coral in its name sends her to the soul.

Furthermore, Aurora Star, Coral (D Series) may send Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) from the hand to the soul. This tactic will activate the second ability. You will gain all of the benefits of a free card and energy charge. 

In addition, the second ability of Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) provides a small boost to your offense. You may add the 5,000 power to a unit such as Songs Inherited by Singing, Sertis. Songs Inherited by Singing, Sertis may gain up to 10,000 power from her ability. Therefore, Songs Inherited by Singing, Sertis may have a total of 25,000 power from all abilities before a boost.

Support:

Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) has great synergy in decks with Coral. Her abilities complement the cards in the archetype. You can consistently activate both of her abilities during games.

Aurora Star, Coral (D Series) and Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) are a great duo on stage. Their abilities complement each other. Aurora Star, Coral (D Series) adds 5,000 shield and 5,000 power to Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) . This grade two unit becomes a useful unit for offense and defense.

In addition, Aurora Star, Coral (D Series) may stand Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) for a second battle during the turn. This tactic is a wise strategy if you stack triggers on this grade two unit. She can pressure the opponent in battle.

Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) is a mediocre card for Bermuda Triangle in the premium format. Bushiroad mainly designed her abilities for the D-Standard Format. Her ability to energy charge has no value in the Premium Format. Her only values are drawing a card and returning a rear-guard to the hand.

Therefore, Shiny Star, Coral (V Series) is a better card than Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) in the Premium Format. Shiny Star, Coral (V Series) fits a better fit in the deck. Shiny Star, Coral (V Series) also provides a strong offense in for the deck in the Premium Format.

Coral has G-Units and you can play those cards alongside Shiny Star, Coral (D Series). These G-Units can use this grade two unit’s second ability. You can gain some benefits from this strategy.

For instance, Arcadia Star, Coral may send Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) from the deck to the soul. You will be able to draw a card. In addition, Arcadia Star, Coral add 2,000 power to Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) on the field. This grade two unit has a total power of 12,000 before a boost.

Overall, Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) is a good card for Coral in the D-Standard Format. Both of her abilities complement the deck’s strategy. She allows an aggressive strategy in the early game. Then, she provides resources with her second ability. Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) is a good card alongside Aurora Star, Coral (D Series). Therefore, I recommend playing four copies of Shiny Star, Coral (D Series) in your deck for the D-Standard Format.
