Screening Deletor, Ydoga is an alien from the nation of Star Gate in Cardfight!! Vanguard. This grade three unit is also a member of the Deletors. It has evil abilities to frustrate opponents. This unit may delete the opposing vanguard. It can also prevent the opponent from turning their deleted vanguard face up.

Sets:

  • V Booster Set 08: Silverdust Blaze

V-Premium Format:

Screening Deletor, Ydoga has two abilities and the Imaginary Gift: Force. It is a decent option for the vanguard, due to this unit’s ability on the vanguard circle. You can delete the opponent’s vanguard and gain a marker.

First Ability:

Screening Deletor, Ydoga deletes the opponent’s vanguard for the cost of one counter blast and discarding one card. The opponent’s vanguard loses its abilities and its power becomes zero. You have all of the advantages on defense and offense.

Furthermore, this ability is the standard skill for many units from Deletor. You gain the most advantages during your turn. The opponent is unable to ride a new vanguard during your turn.

In addition, the advantage of offense makes a major impact. Attacks from Screening Deletor, Ydoga and your rear-guards pressure the opponent in battle. The opponent must use multiple cards to block many attacks due to his or her vanguard has zero power.

Second Ability:

Screening Deletor, Ydoga prevents the opponent from turning a deleted vanguard face up at the end phase of his or her next turn. This ability activates when you place it as a rear-guard on the field. It is a strong ability for the v-premium format.

Furthermore, the best time for this skill is after your vanguard deletes the opponent’s vanguard. For example, Docking Deletor, Greion (V Series) may delete the opposing vanguard. Then, you may call Screening Deletor, Ydoga. The opposing vanguard will remind deleted at its next end phase.

Therefore, the opponent’s vanguard is deleted for two consecutive turns. All of the moment is in your favor. All of your attacks pressure the opponent. The opposing vanguard is a powerless unit without any abilities during two of your turns.

In addition, Screening Deletor, Ydoga puts the opponent in a bad situation. The opponent does not regain the power and abilities of his or her vanguard. They find themselves in a bad position on defense. Your attacks will constantly pressure the opponent with a vanguard without any power.

Support:

Screening Deletor, Ydoga is a great fit for Deletor. Both of its abilities complement the evil archetype of Link Joker. You can easily insert this card in any deck with Deletors.

Screening Deletor, Ydoga is an excellent rear-guard alongside vanguards such as Docking Deletor, Greion (V Series). Those units may delete the opponent’s vanguard. Screening Deletor, Ydoga forces those units to stay deleted at the opponent’s end phase. It is a strong combo against any deck.

Premium Format:

Screening Deletor, Ydoga is a mediocre card in the premium format. G-Units can delete the opponent’s vanguard just like this card. The second ability of this card is an ineffective skill. This card’s only values are the Imaginary Gift: Force, and its name for the heart of G-Units from Deletors.

The only good feature from Screening Deletor, Ydoga is its Imaginary Gift: Force. You may choose Imaginary Gift: Force I to add 10,000 power to a circle, or you may chose Imaginary Gift: Force II to add a critical to a unit on a circle. Both options are great advantages.

However, the second ability of Screening Deletor, Ydoga is a useless skill in the premium format. An opponent may stride a G-Unit on top of their deleted vanguard. The G-Unit will still gain the original power and name of the deleted vanguard. You are not gaining an advantage from this ability.

The second ability of this card only works in a rare situation when the opponent is unable to stride a G-Unit. For example, Original Deletor, Egorg may delete the opponent’s vanguard. Then, Screening Deletor, Ydoga prevents the opponent from turning his or her vanguard face up during the next end phase. The opponent does not have the cards to stride or ride a new vanguard. This situation is very rare and it is not a reliable strategy.

Card Rating:

Overall, Screening Deletor, Ydoga is a good card for Deletors in the v-premium format. Its second ability has a lot of value. You can force the opponent’s vanguard to remain deleted for two consecutive turns. You gain a lot of advantage from this grade three unit’s ability. The card is ineffective in the premium format due to G-Units. Therefore, I recommend playing at least one copy of Screening Deletor, Ydoga in your deck of Deletors in the v-premium format.
