Monarch Sanctuary Alfred governs the United Sanctuary. He is a just king and has support from his fellow Royal Paladins especially Blaster Blade. He first appears in the manga as Aichi’s new ace card. Then, he makes his anime debut in Cardfight!! Vanguard V. Royal Paladin players get excited for this card. Monarch Sanctuary Alfred is taking the Royal Paladins to the next level of vanguard.

Monarch Sanctuary Alfred returns Blaster Blade from your drop zone to your hand, and Alfred gains 15,000 power. Then, he gains a critical if a card with Alfred in its name is in your soul. This skill is a strong finisher for Royal Paladins. Monarch Sanctuary Alfred’s power raises to 38,000 with two criticals  and a Force marker. The skill also sets up Blaster Blade to return to the field and gain massive power from Alfred’s continuous skill.

Monarch Sanctuary Alfred’s defensive and offensive skill!

Monarch Sanctuary Alfred’s continuous skill gives 10,000 power and 5,00 shield to Blaster Blade. This skill has synergy with the other skill. I call Blaster Blade to retire an opponent’s rear-guard, and make Blaster Blade the strongest rear-guard on the field. His power raises to 20,000 with Monarch Sanctuary Alfred’s skill. His additional power makes him a major player on the field. A critical trigger raises his power to 30,000, and forces a lot of pressure on my opponent.

Furthermore, this skill provides defense for Blaster Blade and Alfred. The skill is active during your opponent’s turn. Blaster Blade has 20,000 power, and he is more difficult to retire by battle. Only clans with skills to retire units can bypass Blaster Blade’s high power. In addition, Blaster Blade intercepts with a 10,000 shield. This skill is useful in a tight battle against your opponent.

Overall, Monarch Sanctuary Alfred is a fantastic card for Royal Paladins and Blaster decks. Alfred is a strong finisher in Royal Paladins. His arrival on the field provides instant offense. Then, his contentious skill provides offense and defense. Blaster Blade and Monarch Sanctuary Alfred are a great team.
