The power of bonds in concord, calls forth the light of victory.

[Stride] (Released when both players’ vanguards are grade 3 or greater!)-Stride Step-[Choose one or more cards with the sum of their grades being 3 or greater from your hand, and discard them] Stride this card on your (VC) from face down. (When this card strides, it gains the power and card name of one heart. At the end of the turn, return it face up)
[CONT](VC) Unite (Active if you have called two or more units to (RC) or (GC) during this turn):This unit gets [Power]+5000. All of the rear-guards in your front row get [Power]+2000.

Golden Dragon, Ray Breath Dragon is an exclusive card in Knight of the Sun. Knight of the Sun is a basic starter deck for beginners. It introduces the key word Unite for Gold Paladins. I purchased it to add Golden Dragon, Ray Breath Dragon to my G-Deck, and get Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit in his new art. The start deck includes two copies of Golden Dragon Ray Breath Dragon, and one copy is in RRR rarity.

Golden Dragon, Ray Breath Dragon’s skill activates with Unite, and his skill gives 5,000 power to the vanguard and 2,000 power to rear-guards in the front row. His power rises to 31,000 before getting a boost from a rear-guard! Knight of Red Day, Runo can boost Golden Dragon Ray Breath Dragon’s power to 40,000 points! Your rear-guards in the front row will have just enough power without a boost to hit your opponent’s vanguard. Pair each rear-guard with a booster to strengthen their attacks.

Furthermore, his skill’s requirement for unite can be fulfilled by a single skill from Golden Holy Sword, Gurguit. Golden Holy Sword, Gurguit’s skill has the potential to superior call two units, and unite will be achieved! However, the second unit will be resting and unable to boost for the turn. Golden Dragon, Ray Breath Dragon’s skills compensate for the lost in power. Call the second unit behind your vanguard because your rear-guards will benefit from a booster, and your vanguard will have enough power on its own.

Finally, one of my favorite rear-guards with Unite is Knight of Autumn Light, Regan. She becomes a 12K attacker when you have a grade 4 vanguard and activated Unite. I love this card because she has resistance to your opponent’s skills. Your opponents cannot use cheap tactics to dodge her attack. She can avoid being retired or locked when she attacks your opponent. Regan’s column’s power rises above 20,000 points after all skills and a boost from the rear-guard are applied to her.

Overall, Golden Dragon Ray Breath Dragon is a solid card for a starter deck. Experienced players may turn away from this card for its simplicity. This is the type of card for new players. Its’ skills are basic, and the possible combos are simple to set up. The card is not overpowering to deal a lot of damage. New players will begin to learn the basics of G-Units, and expand their skills with Gold Paladins. Players will most likely replace Golden Dragon Ray Breath Dragon with better cards as they continue to develop their skills.
