Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze is a vanguard from the Dragon Empire. It is one of the units in the ride deck. It has two abilities and one ability has optional effects.

Furthermore, Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze has the mechanic of persona ride. Persona ride is a key ability for this unit. This unit can stand itself or rear-guards for an additional battle. The offensive power from a persona rides enhances this unit’s abilities.

First Ability:

Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze selects two of the top three cards of the deck. This ability superior calls one of these cards and sends another card from the top three cards of the deck to the soul. This ability provides two advantages in a single effect. You gain a rear-guard on the field. This ability sets up the soul for this unit’s second ability.

Furthermore, goal of this ability is adding a copy of Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze to the soul. You need two copies of this unit in the soul for it may stand itself. This ability adds consistency to the ability.

In addition, this ability also sets up the second ability’s other effect. You may add a copy of a rear-guard to the soul. This strategy sets up the effect to stand the rear-guard for a second battle during the turn.

Two of the best units to call to the field for Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze are Flame Kickboxer, Tairan and Flame-severing Dragon, Baldras. Both of these grade two rear-guards gain 5,000 power with Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze as the vanguard. They are grade two rear-guards with 15,000 power with their abilities and they can create a strong column with a boost from a rear-guard.

Second Ability:

The second ability of Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze has one of two effects. You may only activate one of these effects per turn. You need to pick the best effect for the situation.

Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze may either stand itself or two of your rear-guards. The easiest option is standing two rear-guards. The option to stand the vanguard is also an effective option when you can activate it.

First Effect:

Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze enables multiple battles with your rear-guards. Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze soul blasts two cards, and you may stand a unit with the same name of each card for the cost. This ability may stand up to two rear-guards.

Furthermore, the best strategy is attacking the opponent with your rear-guards in the first and second battles of the turn. Then, declare an attack with Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze. Then, you may stand two rear-guards for additional battles.

Therefore, you may have a total of five battles in a single turn. This amount of battles puts a lot of pressure on the opponent. Your rear-guards can overwhelm an opponent.

In addition, this ability complements the persona ride for Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze. All of your units gain an additional 10,000 power. These units will have an opportunity to hit the opponent’s vanguard.

Second Effect:

Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze may stand itself when you soul blast two copies of this unit from the soul and discarding a card. This unit gets a second battle on the vanguard circle. It loses one drive check. It poses a major problem for the opponent.

Furthermore, this ability shines its offensive capability when you activate persona ride. Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze has 23,000 power when you activate persona ride. It can hit the opponent’s vanguard without a boost.

However, The third ability can be inconsistent. It relies on the luck of a soul charge. You may have games when you only soul charge one or two extra copies of Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze.

Another issue is the deck only has four copies of this card. You cannot depend on this ability in every game. You have  low probability of activating this effect.

Therefore, this ability is heavily dependent on the first ability. The soul needs two copies of Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze for the cost. You want to soul charge often and always put a copy of this card in the soul.

Premium Format:

Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze is not an effective card in the premium format. Its abilities do not fit this part of the game. Bushiroad created this unit for the D-Standard Format. You want to spend your turns with powerful G-Units instead of this particular unit with persona ride and twin drive.

Furthermore, Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze is a legal card with the clans of the Dragon Empire. You may play this unit with Kagero and Narukami. It will heavily rely on these clans’ generic G-Units and generic G-Guardians.

Flare Arms, Ziegenburg is one of the best G-Units from Kagero. This G-Unit is a good fit for Fiery Immolation Dragon, Kotihblaze. Flare Arms, Ziegenburg puts a lot of pressure on the opponent. This vanguard stands itself for a second attack. It also retires one of the opponent’s rear-guards.
