Unit of The Week: Chronojet Dragon Z

Chronojet Dragon Z

[CONT](VC):You may pay “Choose a grade 3 <Zodiac Time Beast> from your drop zone, and bind it face up.” as the cost for Stride.
[AUTO](VC):[Soul Blast (1)] When your G unit Stride, you may pay the cost. If you do, choose up to one of any players’ rear-guards, and put it on the bottom of the deck. If you put one card, search your deck for up to one <Zodiac Time Beast> with grade+1 than the card put due to this effect, call it to (RC), and shuffle your deck.

Chronojet Dragon is the poster boy for Cardfight!! Vanguard G. He is Chrono’s avatar, and the duo share the same name. Chronojet Dragon Z is the final evolution of Gear Chronicle’s favorite vanguard. His color is creamy white instead of his usual blue. I like this change. The change in color shows Chronojet Dragon’s next step in power, and he needs this new level of power to defeat the Apostles of Gyze. Chrono and Chronojet Dragon Z finally defeat the evil god, Gyze.

Chronojet Dragon Z’s first skill pays the cost for Stride by sending a grade 3 Zodiac Time Beast from your drop zone to the bind zone face up. You can Stride without discarding cards from your hand. The best method to set up this skill is playing Pulsar, Revolver Dracokid. Pulsar, Revolver Dracokid skill adds Grade 3 Zodiac Time Beast from the deck to your hand and discards a card. Discard a grade 3 Zodiac Time Beast to the drop zone. Another method to fully utilize this skill is by discarding grade 3 cards to pay for perfect guards. Grade 3 cards generally do not have shields and become expendable when Chronojet Dragon Z is the vanguard. They will be in the drop zone, and ready to be used to pay for Stride.

Play these cards with Chronojet Dragon Z!

The second skill  puts one of any players’ rear-guard to the bottom of the deck, and you may superior call one card with one grade higher than the card put into the deck. This skill provides a great method of removing an opponent’s troublesome rear-guard from the field. This skill will hurt Aqua Force and Nova Grappler.  You gain a Zodiac Time Beast to the field. Chronjet Dragon Z is one of the rare Zodiac Time Beasts with the ability of superior calling a unit to the field without Time Leap.

Finally, Pulsar, Merry Block Dragon works well with Chronojet Dragon Z. It gains 2,000 power for each Zodiac Time Beast in the bind zone. The first skill builds the amount of Zodiac Time Beast in your bind zone. Then, Chronojet Dragon Z can superior call Pulsar, Merry Block Dragon from the deck. You can place it behind a rear-guard to create a strong column for the turn.

Overall, Chronojet Dragon Z is my favorite version of Chronojet Dragon. Its’ white design and pose show the strength of the Zodiac Time Beast. Chronojet Dragon Z replaces the original Chronojet Dragon in the deck. The deck now has two Chronojet Dragons with the Zodiac Time Beast. His first skill of making Stride free makes him the best Chronojet as the vanguard. The skill conserves resources. You may use the cards in your hands for different needs. The second skill removes opposing rear-guards and superior calls your rear-guard to the field. Your opponent’s lost is your gain.
