Unit of The Week: Blue Sky Knight, Altmile

Simple. Just believe in your own possibility.

[CONT](VC) Generation Break 2 (This ability is active if you have two or more face up G units in total on your (VC) or G zone):During your turn, all of your units in your front row get [Power]+5000.
[AUTO](VC):[Counter Blast (1)] During your turn, when your G unit Stride, you may pay the cost. If you do, choose up to two cards from your hand, call them to separate (RC), choose up to two of your units, and those units get [Power]+5000 until end of turn.

The legendary hero Blaster Blade promoted Blue Sky Knight, Altmile to general to lead a new unit of Royal Paladins. He is the first Royal Paladin to have Generation Break 2. He is passionate about his comrades and homeland outside the United Sanctuary’s eastern border. His swordsmanship and excellent martial skills are praised among the Royal Paladins. Blaster Blade sees a lot of potential in Altmile to lead the next generation of Royal Paladins.

First Effect

Blue Sky Knight, Altmile’s Generation Break gives a power boost to himself and both rear-guards in the front row. Very powerful rear-guards are a key resource in the game when your opponent’s hand is significantly smaller at this stage in the game. Furthermore, this GB helps in games against Link Joker when your rear-guards are locked. Your units will get a boost without actually having a booster and if one column is locked then you can create a strong second column to make up for not having an attacker.

Second Effect

His second skill is similar to his Generation Break for when your G unit strides. You can choose any two units to give 5K power to as long as you call two units from your hand to the field. Your options are to power up both rear-guard columns or to power up one rear-guard column and give your vanguard’s booster 5K power.  Your G unit does not need the extra power as it is already giving plenty of pressure to your opponent with a triple drive check. Your rear-guards reap the benefits from the skill.

Finally, Altmile is not great individually.  He focuses on boosting units and he needs support to superior call allies to the field. Knight of Twin Sword sets up a lot of plays as he can superior call any grade 2 unit not with his name from the deck. You can superior call Transmigration Knight, Brede for offensive power or Blaster Blade to retire an opposing rear-guard for your attacks can hit your opponent’s vanguard.

Card Rating

Therefore, Blue Sky Knight, Altmile does not stand out as an individual, but is a good card with the proper support. Royal Paladins work together to achieve great heights Altmile brings additional power to the table while his comrades bring everything else such as superior calling more comrades. His skills are suited for the mid-game and late-game so he is always providing an advantage instead of only having skills suited at a particular time during a game. The blue sky’s the limit for Altmile. He will only get better as more Royal Paladins are made for players.

Card Rating: 4.0 out of 5.0 stars
