Dragon” that was Special Summoned, its original ATK becomes doubled.
Red-Eyes Alternative Black Dragon is a retrained Red-Eyes B. Dragon. It is an improvement from the original card. The monster retains the original card’s level and stats. Red-Eyes Alternative Black Dragon has two powerful effects. You have more options with this card because it has effects.
First Effect
Red-Eyes Alternative Black Dragon requires you to tribute Red-Eyes B. Dragon from your hand or field to special summon it. Its’ requirement to special summon it is very easy to fulfill. You do not need Red-Eyes B. Dragon on the field, and risk it being destroyed by the opponent. You only need the card in your hand. There is always the option to tribute a Red-Eye B. Dragon from the field if you need to.
However, Red-Eyes Alternative Black Dragon is a useless card in your hand if you are unable to special summon it. You cannot normal summon or set it to the field. It is never a good situation to have a useless card in your hand. You are not able to play your deck to its fullest potential. A deck with Red-Eyes Alternative Black Dragon needs to play three copies of Red-Eyes B. Dragon to minimize this weakness.
Second Effect
Red-Eyes Alternative Black Dragon special summons Red-Eyes B. Dragon from your graveyard when your opponent destroys it by battle or a card’s effect. The effect also doubles Red-Eyes B. Dragon’s original ATK to 4,800! This is a great ability for efficiently using your resources. You are regaining the Red-Eyes B. Dragon that you discarded to special summon Red-Eyes Alternative Black Dragon. You maintain a monster field, and can protect your life points.
