[Spell/Quick Play]
Discard 1 card; Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from either field as Fusion Material. Neither player can activate cards or effects in response to this card’s activation.
Super Polymerization is one of the most popular cards in Yu-Gi-Oh’s history. It is the first evolution of Polymerization. This card made Elemental Heroes one of the best archetypes in the game. However, this card is not limited to only Elemental Heroes. You can play this card in any deck with Fusion Monsters who require generic materials for fusion.
Anime History
Super Polymerization is the symbol of power and control because the card dominates an opponent’s monster. Brron, Mad King of Dark World attempts to create the card by using Jaden’s friends, but abandons his vile plan. Jaden as the Supreme King completes the card by defeating many duelist in his castle. It first appears in episode 140 of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX during the Supreme King’s and Jim’s duel. Jaden continues to play this card during Yu-Gi-Oh! GX.
Fuse Your Heroes!
Super Polymerization’s first effect Fusion summons one Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck by using any monsters on the field. This effect means you can use any or all of your opponent’s monsters as Fusion Material. It is a great method to save your resources while using your opponent’s cards for your Fusion Summon. Furthermore, this card is very common in HERO decks because the archetypes heavily rely on Fusion Monsters. HERO decks use Fusion Monsters more than the average archetype.
In addition, some Elemental HERO fusion monsters require a specific attribute from a monster. You can play Super Polymerization to use your opponent’s monster with the required attribute as material. Then, Fusion Summon your new Elemental HERO to the field. Furthermore, the best scenario is to use your opponent’s best monster as fusion material. You would be achieving two goals in a single play. You would gain a powerful HERO on the field and defeat your opponent’s best monster.
Play these cards with Super Polymerization!
- Elemental HERO Absolute Zero
- Elemental HERO Nova Master
- Elemental HERO the Shinning
Furthermore, your opponent cannot respond to Super Polymerization’s activation. You can safely play this card at any moment during the duel. This effect means cards such as Solemn Judgment and Solemn Warning cannot be chained to Super Polymerization. However, cards such as Bottomless Trap Hole can be activated when the Fusion Monster is summoned to the field. Bottomless Trap Hole is being activated after Super Polymerization resolves its effects.
Overall, Super Polymerization is one of the best Spell cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! If you are playing a HERO deck, then play this card in your deck. I recommend playing two to three copies in a deck. It can quickly turn the duel in your favor. Then, your new Fusion Monster will have the momentum to carry you to victory.
