[Spell Card]

When this card is activated: Add 1 “The Winged Dragon of Ra” or 1 card that mentions it from your Deck to your hand, except “The True Sun God”. Monsters, except “The Winged Dragon of Ra”, cannot attack the turn they are Special Summoned. Once per turn, during your Main Phase: You can send this card from the field, or 1 “The Winged Dragon of Ra – Immortal Phoenix” from your Deck, to the GY, then send 1 “The Winged Dragon of Ra” from your Monster Zone to the GY. You can only activate 1 “The True Sun God” per turn.

The True Sun God is a continuous spell card with multiple effects. This card supports The Winged Dragon Ra. It is an essential deck for this Egyptian God. The True Sun God is the engine for the The Winged Dragon of Ra – Immortal Phoenix.

First Effect:

The True Sun God is a spell card with consistency for the deck. The True Sun God adds The Winged Dragon of Ra or any card with The Winged Dragon of Ra in its text to your hand. You can start making your combos for your strategy.

One of the best cards for this effect is Ra’s Disciple. You may set up a strong combo to summon your Egyptian God. This effect monster prepares your tribute summon for an Egyptian God, and he special summons two copies of himself from the deck. You may tribute all three copies to summon The Winged Dragon of Ra.

Second Effect:

The True Sun God slows the opponent’s monsters from special summons with its second effect. The True Sun God prevents the monsters from special summons except The Winged Dragon of Ra to attack you on their first turn. This effect counters powerful cards from the extra deck.

Furthermore, players often special summon their best monsters. It is one of the most common strategies in Yu-Gi-Oh!. The True Sun God prevents these monsters from delivering damage in battle on their first turn because they are unable to battle your monsters.

This effect provides some protection for The Winged Dragon of Ra. An opponent cannot quickly destroy it in battle with a new monster from this turn that they special summon. The delay of the battle buys time for you to counter this new monster.

Third Effect:

The True Sun God is a key card for the consistency of The Winged Dragon of Ra – Immortal Phoenix. The True Sun God sends itself or The Winged Dragon of Ra – Immortal Phoenix from the deck to the graveyard and sends The Winged Dragon of Ra from your field to graveyard. It provides the best method for playing The Winged Dragon of Ra – Immortal Phoenix.

The Winged Dragon of Ra – Immortal Phoenix can only be special summoned from the graveyard on the same turn when The Winged Dragon of Ra is also sent to your graveyard. The True Sun God ensures the conditions for this special summon. It sends both monsters to the graveyard and this action triggers the effect of The Winged Dragon of Ra – Immortal Phoenix.

Therefore, The True Sun God provides a great method for the special summon of The Winged Dragon of Ra – Immortal Phoenix! It provides a quick method for sending this monster to the graveyard. The Winged Dragon of Ra – Immortal Phoenix must be in your graveyard to special summon it.
