Darkflare Dragon special summons itself from your hand by banishing one Light and one Dark monster from your graveyard. The conditions are easy to fulfill. You need to send one Light and one Dark monster to your graveyard. A card such as Foolish Burial sets the conditions for the special summon.
Furthermore, Darkflare Dragon perfectly fits in a deck with Chaos monsters, Light monsters, and Dark monsters. You can consistently special summon it from your hand. Your graveyard will have the sources to pay the cost of the special summon.
Second Effect:
Darkflare Dragon banishes one card from either player’s graveyard. This effect is a strong counter against cards with effects that activate in the graveyard. For example, Darkflare Dragon can banish Return of the Dragon Lords to prevent your opponent from activating its second effect from the graveyard.
Furthermore, Darkflare Dragon sets the conditions for the special summons of other monsters. The second effect perfectly uses resources to your advantage. Then, you can special summon Lightpulsar Dragon with its second effect from the graveyard.
