First effect:

Chaos Angel allows you to treat one light or dark monster as a tuner monster for this card’s synchro summon. This synchro monster substitutes a tuner for any light or dark monster. This effect adds more consistency for this synchro summon.

For instance, you may use Centur-Ion Primera and Bystial Druiswurm for the synchro materials. The total level of these monsters is 10. This effect can convert one of them into a tuner for this synchro summon. Then, Centur-Ion Primera and Bystial Druiswurm become materials and synchro summon Chaos Angel from the extra deck.

Second Effect:

Chaos Angel targets one card on the field and banishes when you special summon Chaos Angel. This effect controls field for an instant impact in the current state of the game. The opponent loses access to one of his or her cards.

Furthermore, Chaos Angel bypasses the protective effects of some cards. Some monsters such as Evil HERO Malicious Bane cannot be destroyed by battle or a card’s effect. This synchro monster’s effect does not destroy cards. It banishes cards and this effect will banish cards such as Evil HERO Malicious Bane.

Third & Fourth Effects:

The third and fourth effects of Chaos Angel depend on the attributes of the synchro materials. The third effect requires a light monster. The fourth effect requires a dark monster.

Therefore, the best strategy is using light monsters and dark monsters as materials. This strategy unlocks the full potential of Chaos Angel. You can activate both effects.

Third Effect:

Chaos Angel prevents the opponent’s effects from affecting your synchro monsters. This effect requires a light monster as material for Chaos Angel’s synchro summon. This effect provides protection for your synchro monsters from the opponent.

Therefore, Chaos Angel is an effective card in decks with synchro monsters. The protection prevents their destruction or banishment from the opponent’s effects. This protection also applies to Chaos Angel.

However, this effect does not protect other types of monsters. The third effect of Chaos Angel does not apply to fusion monsters, link monsters, normal monster, etc. The opponent’s effects can still affect those types of monsters.

Fourth Effect:

Monsters under your control cannot be destroyed by battle. This effect of Chaos Angel requires a dark monster as material for the synchro summon. This effect provides protection to all your monsters. You will not lose a monster if an opponent’s stronger monster attacks it in battle.

However, this effect has limitations. It does not prevent damage. You will still lose life points when an opponent’s stronger monster attacks your weaker monster.

Synchro Summon

Chaos Angel is a level ten synchro monster. He requires one tuner with one or more light or dark monsters. You may use a combination of light and dark monsters as materials for this synchro summon.

For instance, you may use Mara of the Nordic Alfar, Alviss of the Nordic Alfar, and Ljosalf of the Nordic Alfar as materials for the synchro summon of Chaos Angel. This combination of effect monsters have the attributes of light and dark. They also have a total of ten levels.
