This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls, once each. Once per turn, at the end of the Damage Step, if this card battled: You can target 1 Trap in your GY; Set it to your Spell & Trap Zone.

Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon is one of the best fusion monsters for Blue-Eyes. It has stellar artwork and powerful effects. The powerful effects of this fusion monster can take over a game. Decks can consistently play this card. This fusion monster may attack all of the opponent’s monster.

First Effect:

You may fusion summon Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon by tribulating a Blue-Eyes White Dragon with a fusion monster equipped to it. This effect is a homage of the anime. It provides a secondary method for the fusion summon of this monster. It works in decks with the The Claw of Hermos and The Fang of Critias.

Furthermore, The Claw of Hermos and The Fang of Critias fusion summon fusion monsters, and you may equip these unique monsters to a Blue-Eyes White Dragon. You may equip Blue-Eyes White Dragon with a fusion monster such as Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword. You will be in position for this effect. 

However, this effect is not a good method for the fusion summon of Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon. This method requires many resources such as Blue-Eyes White Dragon with a fusion monster required to it. An opponent can prevent the summons or activation of the requirements. This effect is not worth the cost and requirements.

Second Effect:

Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon is unaffected by Traps and the effects of Trap cards. This effect provides some protection to this fusion monster. The opponent is unable to counter this card with a trap. 

In addition, this effect also includes your traps. True Light is a common trap in decks with Blue-Eyes. It destroys all of your monsters when it leaves the field. However, it will not destroy Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon due to this fusion monster is unaffected by the effects of traps.

Third Effect:

Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon may battle all of the opponent’s monsters. This effect enables multiple battles from this fusion monster. It provides two major advantages. First, this fusion monster may destroy all of the opponent’s monster by battle. Second, you have the potential inflict massive damage.

Furthermore, this effect has the potential to destroy all of the opponent’s monsters in battle. The opponent will take damage after every battle. This effect may allow any of your other monsters to directly attack the opponent without any monsters on the field.

In addition, this effect is an answer against decks with the ability to swarm the filed with many monsters. Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon counters archetypes such as Blackwings, Six Samurai, and Synchron. These archetypes often have many monsters on the field. This situation leads to many battles with Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon!

Fourth Effect:

Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon sets a trap from your graveyard to the field if this card battles the opponent’s monsters. This effect provides a free card. You can regain access to a useful trap from the graveyard.

Fusion Summon:

Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon is an easy fusion monster to fusion summon. This card requires one Blue-Eyes White Dragon and one dragon for materials. The materials are easy to obtain in the hand. Melody of Awakening Dragons can add two Blue-Eyes White Dragons to the hand. Then, you are in a good position for a fusion summon with Polymerization or Ultimate Fusion.

Ultimate Fusion is the ideal spell for the fusion summon of Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon. You may use Blue-Eyes White Dragon from the hand or graveyard as material and shuffle it back into the deck. You gain a fusion monster and return key cards to the deck.

For example, Ultimate Fusion may use two Blue-Eyes White Dragons as the fusion materials for the fusion summon of Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon. The materials are shuffled into the deck, and the effect destroys two of the opponent’s face-up cards. Then, you will have Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon on the field after a successful fusion summon.

Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon is one of the best effect monsters alongside Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon. Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon provides protection to your cards. This effect monster prevents the opponent from destroying your cards with effects. This effect provides further protection for Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon. The opponent cannot easily destroy your fusion monster on the field.

This card can potentially win a game with its effect to attack all of the opponent’s monsters. Therefore, I recommend playing two or three copies of Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon in your extra deck.
