Jamming wave transmitter, switch on!
[AUTO](RC):When it attacks a vanguard, COST [bind a card from your drop zone], and your opponent cannot call grade 1 or greater cards from his or her hand until end of that battle. At the end of that battle, put this unit into your soul, and draw a card.
Steam Mechanic, Nabu is one of the original cards for Gear Chronicle in Cardfight!! Vanguard V. I do not like the artwork. The character does not look good in my opinion, but the background and surroundings look really nice. However, artwork does not always determine a card’s worth. Nabu’s skill makes up for the mediocre artwork of the character.
Steam Mechanic, Nabu’s skill binds a card from your drop zone, and your opponent cannot call grade one or greater cards from his or her until the end of the battle. This defensive skill is useful. I like cards that restrict your opponent’s defensive options. Sometimes this type of skill wins games if your opponent is unable to block Nabu.
Furthermore, the most impact from the skill is its cost for binding a card from the drop zone. Many Gear Chronicle units gain skills from the cards in the bind zone. In addition, this skill helps set up your grade 4 unit’s skills. You want to place as many cards in the bind zone as possible. Then, your grade 4 units unlock their strongest skills.
Play these cards with Steam Mechanic Nabu.
- Interdimensional Dragon, Idealize Dragon
- Interdimensional Dragon, Mystery-flare Dragon (V Series)
Premium Format
Finally, players may want to consider playing Steam Mechanic, Nabu in premium decks with Deus Ex Machina, Demiurge. Steam Mechanic, Nabu can bind a Zodiac Time Beast from the drop zone. Bind your Zodiac Time Beast triggers. You will have more options for Deus Ex Machina, Demiurge’s skill. His skill places triggers on top of your deck!
Play these cards with Steam Mechanic, Nabu in the premium format!
- Deus Ex Machina, Demiurge
Overall, Steam Mechanic, Nabu is a useful card for both formats. Nabu is a consistent option to bind cards from the drop zone. Gear Chronicle in the standard format has another option to bind cards. Then, Gear Chronicle in the premium format has more options with the bind zone. I recommend at least three copies of Steam Mechanic, Nabu per deck.
