Meteokaiser, Stiffneid is a G-Guardian from Star Gate. This G-Guardian is a member of Nova Grappler. It has the standard shield of 15,000 and ability to increase the shield’s power. This card may also help you to draw cards during the battle phase.

Ability:

Meteokaiser, Stiffneid gains 5,000 power for each face down card in your damage zone. This ability strengthens the shield of this G-Guardian. It has potential of a strong shield in the late stages of a game. It may create a strong defense.

Therefore, Meteokaiser, Stiffneid has the potential to gain 25,000 shield. This G-Guardian’s total shield from its full potential is 40,000. It can block powerful attacks from the opponent’s units.

In addition, Meteokaiser, Stiffneid may also counter blast cards to increase the value of its shield. This option provides two bonuses. You may draw one card if you counter blast two cards. Your hand gains an additional resource for additional defense or offense during your next turn.

You may also draw two cards if you pay the cost of three counter blasts. You may need additional cards for defense and this provides two opportunities. These cards can strengthen the defense to block an opponent’s attack.

Flaw:

However, Meteokaiser, Stiffneid has a major flaw. It may potentially use many counter blasts for the opportunity to draw one or two cards. You are losing a key resources for the cost of your other units’ abilities.

Furthermore, this ability is a gamble in a tough situation. You may not draw the cards that you need in this match. You may need additional cards for defense but you may draw two grade three cards without shields.

Support:

Meteokaiser, Stiffneid is a generic card. You may play this G-Guardian with every archetype from Nova Grappler. It provides another option for players’ G-Zones.

Furthermore, Meteokaiser, Stiffneid needs a deck with cards with the ability to counter charge. This G-Guardian may potentially use many of your counter blasts. You will need units to counter charge and regain your counter blasts for the cost of your other units’ abilities on offense.

Meteokaiser, Unior is the opposite of Meteokaiser, Stiffneid. Meteokaiser, Unior may counter charge two cards if you do not have any face up cards in the damage zone. It is a good option to regain your counter blasts.

Hard Hit Scrapper is a unit with the ability to counter charge a card in the damage zone. He provides offense when he gains power and resources. Hard Hit Scrapper counter charges a counter blast during your turn and you regain a face up card in the damage zone after you use the defensive ability of Meteokaiser, Stiffneid.

Card Rating:

Overall, Meteokaiser, Stiffneid is a mediocre G-Guardian for Nova Grappler. The cost of this card’s ability to increase its shield and draw cards is a heavy price. Nova Grappler needs its counter blasts for combos to unleash multiple attacks. Therefore, I do not recommend Meteokaiser, Stiffneid in your G-Zone. Nova Grappler has better options for G-Guardians.
