D-Standard Format:

Knight of Restoration, Auguisans is a rear-guard in the D-Standard Format. All of his abilities activate when he is a rear-guard. He belongs in the main deck. He does not fit in the ride deck. Royal Paladins have a strong group of cards for the ride deck.

However, Knight of Restoration, Auguisans is restricted to decks with Alfred from the Royal Paladins in the Keter Sanctuary. His abilities do not work with other archetypes from this nation. He offers a small value with basic stats for decks outside of Alfred and the Royal Paladins.

First Ability:

Knight of Restoration, Auguisans becomes a Royal Paladin when you have a Royal Paladin as your vanguard. This ability adds this clan to this card’s category. It enables synergy with cards with abilities for Royal Paladins.

For instance, Knight of Restoration, Auguisans can interact with King of Knights, Alfred (D Series). King of Knights, Alfred (D Series) stands two Royal Paladins during the battle phase. Therefore, this vanguard may stand Knight of Restoration, Auguisans. This strategy allows you to stand a column with a grade two rear-guard in the front row and Knight of Restoration, Auguisans in the back row.

Second Ability:

Knight of Restoration, Auguisans gains 2,000 power and counter charges one damage if you have a grade three or greater vanguard with Alfred in its name. This ability only activates when you call this rear-guard from the hand. This rear-guard gains power and recovers a key resource for the deck.

Therefore, Knight of Restoration, Auguisans is a strong booster. He provides a boost of 10,000 power. You should place him in the back row to support the strongest rear-guards from Royal Paladin.

Furthermore, Knight of Restoration, Auguisans restores a counterblast if you have not counter charged this turn for the cost of two soul blasts. Counterblast in the damage zone is an important resource for Royal Paladin. Many units use this resource for the cost of their abilities such as Blaster Blade (D Series). You may consider calling this unit to regain a counterblast or the abilities of your other Royal Paladins.

However, Knight of Restoration, Auguisans requires a cost of two soul blasts to counter charge damage. Many Royal Paladins do not use soul blasts in this deck. You should be able to activate this ability at least once per game.

Third Ability:

Knight of Restoration, Auguisans can intercept attacks from the back row. This ability requires your vanguard to be a Royal Paladin. He has a shield of 5,000.

Therefore, Knight of Restoration, Auguisans is a useful unit to call from the hand. You only gain his second ability when you place him on the field. Then, you may use him for defense during the opponent’s turn.

Furthermore, his shield of 5,000 is a standard stat for grade one units in the D-Standard Format. The shield is a small amount of power. It can be useful in situations when you need additional defense against the opponent during his or her battle phase.

Support:

Knight of Restoration, Auguisans is a supportive card for the Royal Paladins in the D-Standard Format. This unit specifically supports the deck with Alfred. His second ability requires your vanguard to have Alfred in its name.

Knight of Restoration, Auguisans and Solitary Knight, Gancelot (D Series) are a dynamic duo on offense. You can create a powerful column with these units because both units increase their powers with their abilities. Solitary Knight, Gancelot (D Series) gains 5,000 power for each grade of the opponent’s vanguard. Therefore, Solitary Knight, Gancelot (D Series) has a total power of 38,000 with his ability and a boost from Knight of Restoration, Auguisans!

Premium Format:

Knight of Restoration, Auguisans is a legal card for clans of the United Sanctuary in the Premium Format. This card only fits with Royal Paladins because he requires Alfred for your vanguard and he becomes a Royal Paladin. The Premium Format has many versions of Alfred.

Furthermore, Knight of Restoration, Auguisans can be an effective booster and defensive card for Alfred. This unit complements the offensive synergy of Divine Knight King, Alfred Holy Saver and Blaster Blade. This G-Unit gives twin drive to Blaster Blade, and Knight of Restoration, Auguisans can provide a strong boost of 10,000 power to Blaster Blade.

However, Royal Paladin with Alfred has a better option for counter charging damage than Knight of Restoration, Auguisans. Blaster-friend, Barcgal counter charges one point of damage when you place Blaster Blade in the same column. Knight of Restoration, Auguisans counter charges one point of damage for the cost of two soul blasts. Blaster-friend, Barcgal does not require a soul blast and only requires Blaster Blade.

Card Rating:

Overall, Knight of Restoration, Auguisans is a versatile card for Royal Paladins in the D-Standard Format. He provides a strong boost. This unit counter charges one point of damage. He provides defense as a rear-guard with the ability to intercept attacks from the back row. Therefore, I recommend players to consider playing one to two copies of Knight of Restoration, Auguisans in their decks.
