Ability:
Diva of Salvation, Lucrèce has an ability with two effects, and the ability returns a rear-guard from the field to your hand. The grade of the rear-guard may trigger one of two effects. These effects enhances your defense for either one attack or for the turn. A grade 2 or less rear-guard triggers the first effect and a grade 3 or greater rear-guard triggers the second effect.
Furthermore, you must wisely place rear-guards with either grade 2 or less rear-guards or grade 3 or greater rear-guards on the field during the previous turn. You need the right unit on the field for the effect of your choice. It makes a huge difference in your options during battle.
Therefore, your choice impacts the defense from Diva of Salvation, Lucrèce. Each effect has advantages against certain decks. The first effect adds 15,000 to the shield of Diva of Salvation, Lucrèce. The second effect adds 5,000 power to your vanguard for the remainder of the turn.
In addition, Diva Salvation, Lucrèce sets up your combos with your rear-guards with AUTO abilities. A rear-guard with an AUTO ability is back into your hand. You have the opportunity to play the card on your next turn. Therefore, you reactive the rear-guard AUTO ability to gain the advantages from its AUTO ability.

First Effect:
Diva of Salvation, Lucrèce gains 15,000 shield if you return a grade 2 or less rear-guard to your hand. Her total shield becomes 30,000. She creates a strong all of defense for your vanguard. A vanguard with 13,000 and a G-Guardian with 30,000 shield has a total of 43,000 for defense.
Furthermore, this effect is the best option against opposing units with strong attacks. Diva of Salvation, Lucrèce can block many attacks from opposing rear-guards without additional cards. A shield of 30,000 is an impressive defense. You can avoid damage from some of the strongest rear-guards in Cardfight!! Vanguard.

Second Effect:
The second option is returning a grade 3 or greater rear-guard to the hand, and your vanguard gains 5,000 power for the remainder of the turn. Diva of Salvation, Lucrèce retains her shield of 15,000. Your vanguard with 13,000 power now has 18,000 power for the turn.
Therefore, the second effect is a useful option against opponents with multiple attacks. Aqua Force and Nova Grappler can easily attack at least six times in a single turn. The option of an additional 5,000 power is the better option for the long term during the turn.
However, the only downside to this option is the battle with Diva of Salvation, Lucrèce. You may need to call additional cards to the guardian circle for that battle. A shield of 15,000 from a G-Guardian needs additional defense against G-Units and some rear-guards.
Weakness:
However, Diva Salvation, Lucrèce has a major disadvantage against control decks such as Kagero, Link Joker, and Narukami. These clans share the common theme of abilities removing access to your rear-guards. Link Joker may lock your units. Kagero retires your rear-guards, and Narukami binds your rear-guards. You cannot activate the effects of Diva Salvation, Lucrèce without any rear-guards.
Therefore, Diva Salvation, Lucrèce is an ineffective card against those three clans. Her shield of 15,000 is not good enough defense on its own in the premium format with attacks with high numbers. You would need to seek other options for defense such as Blessed Sparkle, Sandy.

Diva of Salvation, Lucrèce is a generic G-Guardian. You may play this card in any deck with Bermuda Triangle such as Chouchou and PR♥ISM. Diva of Salvation, Lucrèce complements the entire clan with her defensive ability.
A good archetype for Diva of Salvation, Lucrèce is Coral. The archetype of Coral has many effective units with Auto abilities, and you may want to place these units multiple times in a game. Shiny Star, Coral (V Series) and Glaring Moon, Miera provide useful resources when you play them. Shiny Star, Coral (V Series) soul charges cards and Bear Affection, Laer allows you to draw a card.
