Insect Railgun, Full Burst!
[AUTO](VC/RC):When placed from hand, call up to two cards from your soul to (RC) as [Rest], and if this unit was placed on (VC), this unit gets the original [Power] of all of the units called with this effect until end of turn.
Machining Stag Beetle is one of the original Machining units from Cardfight!! Vanguard. He now joins the standard format for Cardfight!! Vanguard V. Machining Stag Beetle has the Protect maker. I’ve always liked his artwork’s style of a bug, man and machine. He looks like an awesome machine with features from a bug.
Machining Stag Beetle’s skill superior calls two cards from your soul as rest and he gains those unit’s original power until the end of turn. You may fully use this skill when he becomes your vanguard or only superior call units if he becomes a rear-guard. I like this ability’s concept. You can gain new rear-guards and power without paying a cost. You are gaining a nice advantage without paying anything.
Furthermore, Machining Stag Beetle is one of rare Megacolony units with the ability to superior calls units. The ability helps you gain resources from your soul. You save cards in your hand for additional offense or for your defense. However, the only downside is the units are at rest. You cannot use those units during the same turn. You must wait a full turn to use those units to assist your vanguard.

- Stealth Millipede
- Water Gang
Then, Machining Stag Beetle gains the original power from those units called from the soul this effect. I suggest superior calling grade 2 or grade 3 units from the soul. They have the most power in your deck. For example, Machining Stag Beetle can gain 24,000 power from two grade 3 units or 18,000 power from two grade 2 units. Your vanguard will be difficult to block without a perfect guard from your opponent.
Premium Format
Machining Stag Beetle provides support for the Machining units from the premium format. His skill can be useful when you need to superior call units to the field. It works well in the premium format. Furthermore, Machining has two G-Units that benefit from this card. Be sure to stride those G-Units to enhance your field’s capabilities.
Play these cards Machining Stag Beetle with in the premium format!
- Carapace Mutant Deity, Machining Destroyer
- Oppression Mutant Deity, Machining Despot
Overall, Machining Stag Beetle has an interesting gimmick of superior calling units from the soul and gaining power from those units. I like the ability’s potential. Bushiroad needs to release more cards to support Machining Stag Bettle in the standard format. Then, he will be a good card for a budget deck or a backup vanguard for a pure Machining deck. I am looking forward to seeing if Machining Stag Beetle gets that extra support.
