Celtic Guard of Noble Arms is one of Yugi’s new monsters from The Dark Side of Dimensions. He is the third card in the Celtic Guard series. This art is my favorite artwork in the archetype. The art is wonderful and bursting with energy. He looks serious with his two powerful swords.
Celtic Guard of Noble Arms special summons a fellow Celtic Guard from your hand. This effect is fantastic for rushing your opponent. In addition, this effect sets up XYZ Summons. All of the current Celtic Guard Monsters are Level 4 at the time of this article. There are many powerful Ranked-4 XYZ Monsters to special summon with Level 4 Monsters.
Furthermore, Celtic Guard of Noble Arms allows you to draw cards if he deals battle damage to your opponent. You draw cards equal to the number of Celtic Guards on your field. You are guaranteed to draw two cards. This effect is great for quickly gaining access to your deck’s resources. You will be one step ahead of your opponent.

Unfortunately, Celtic Guard of Noble Arms is unable to attack while you have cards in your hand. This effect hinders Celetic Guard of Noble Arms’s offense. It can be very annoying not being able to attack your opponent. Furthermore if you draw cards from his effect, then you need to set all of your cards during your next turn. You need to limit your field to only one Celtic Guard of Noble Arms.
However, you can play around his weakness with a few methods. First, you can use him as material for a summon. This tactic is very simple because his first skill special summons allies to the field. In addition, he has 2,100 ATK, and he can be a strong monster to have on the field to protect your life points. Most Level 4 monsters are too weak to destroy Celtic Guard of Noble Arms.
Overall, Celtic Guard of Noble Arms has a lot of potential to be a centerpiece in a Celtic Guard deck. His ability to special summon a Celtic Guard on the field is amazing. This effect sets up many possibilities for XYZ Summons. Unfortunately, the archetype is lacking cards to be a decent deck. I think this card can shine with additional support from Konami.
