[Dragon/Effect]
ATK/1,200 DEF/600
This card gains effects based on the number of “Harpie” monsters you control, except “Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon”.
● 1 or more: Your opponent cannot target “Harpie” monsters you control for attacks, except “Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon”.
● 2 or more: Double the original ATK and DEF of this card.
● 3 or more: Once per turn: You can target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy that target.
Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon is support for Harpie. This dragon is the younger version of Harpie’s Pet Dragon. This monster has better effects than its older counterpart. Harpie’s pet Baby Dragon provides offense and defense in a single card.
Three Effects:
Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon has three effects. You gain access to these effects depending on the number of your Harpies except for Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon. You want as many Harpies on the field. Therefore, Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon needs three other Harpies on the field to activate all three of his effects.
First Effect:
Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon protects your Harpies from the opponent’s attacks except for himself. Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon’s does not allow the opponent to attack your other Harpies. You can protect monsters from destruction by battle.
Furthermore, you want to protect your Harpies for their useful effects. For example, Cyber Slash Harpie Lady returns an opponent’s monster from the field to his or her hand. This useful effect provides a major advantage, and I certainly would want her on the field for it.
However, this effect does not provide a lot of value. Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon does not provide perfect protection. Many cards have the ability to destroy monsters. An opponent may use effects from spells, traps, and monsters to destroy your Harpies. A monster’s effect bypass Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon’s effect.
Second Effect:
Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon’s ATK and DEF double if you have two or more Harpies on the field. Therefore, Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon will have 2,400 ATK and 1,200 DEF. You gain more offense from this effect.
Furthermore, Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon with this effect is stronger than most level 4 monsters. He can deal massive damage from a direct attack. An opponent would lose 2,400 life points from a direct attack.
Third Effect:
The best effect is Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon’s third effect, and you want to reach this advantage. Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon destroys one of your opponent’s cards once per turn. You gain control of the field with this effect. The opponent loses a spell, trap, or monster without a cost.
Furthermore, this effect complements the second effect. You can destroy an opponent’s monster to leave him or her without a monster. Therefore, Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon and your Harpies can unleash direct attacks to inflict massive damage with the chance of victory.

Overall, Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon is a powerful monster with useful effects. I recommend playing two to three copies of this monster in your Harpie deck. You want to enable his third effect. Then, you will be able to control the field with its destructive effect.
