If this card is Xyz Summoned: You can negate the effects of all face-up cards your opponent currently controls. You can detach 1 material from this card, then target 1 Normal Monster in your GY or banishment; Special Summon it, and if you do, it gains 1000 ATK.

Indigo-Eyes Silver Dragon is rank eight XYZ monster. This card supports normal monsters. It is the perfect XYZ monster for Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Indigo-Eyes Silver Dragon special summons normal monsters, and negates the effects of the opponent’s face up cards.

First Effect:

Indigo-Eyes Silver Dragon cannot directly attack the opponent if it does not have a normal monster as material. An effect monster as the only material or zero materials prevent this XYZ monster from directly attacking the opponent. It must have the correct materials.

Therefore, the ideal strategy is keeping one Blue-Eyes White Dragon as material on Indigo-Eyes Silver Dragon. This strategy allows this XYY monster to directly attack the opponent when possible. You can inflict 4,000 points of damage!

Second Effect:

Indigo-Eyes Silver Dragon negates the effects of all of the opponent’s face up cards. Therefore, this XYZ monster negates the opponent’s face up monsters, spells, and traps on the field. The opponent loses his or her advantages

Furthermore, Indigo-Eyes Silver Dragon perfectly counters the opponent’s strategy. The opponent is unable to respond with any of their effects from their face up cards. You can create many combos without interruption. 

However, Indigo-Eyes Silver Dragon does not the negate the effects of the opponent’s face down cards. The opponent many respond with a trap or quick-play spell card. Those cards are the only options to counter this XYZ monster.

Third Effect:

Indigo-Eyes Silver Dragon special summons one normal monster from your graveyard or banishment. In addition, the normal monster gains 1,000 ATK. Your field now has two monsters. 

Furthermore, Indigo-Eyes Silver Dragon sets up a OTK. This XYZ monster special summons Blue-Eyes White Dragon and adds 1,000 ATK to it. You have two monsters on the field with 4,000 power. A direct attack from month of these monsters inflict 8,000 points of damage for the victory.

In addition, Indigo-Eyes Silver Dragon is a great card for special summoning Blue-Eyes White Dragon from banishment. You or the opponent may banish Blue-Eyes White Dragon with an effect. This XYZ monster provides access to this normal monster in banishment. 

XYZ Summon:

Indigo-Eyes Silver Dragon requires two level 8 dragons for XYZ material. The best materials are normal monsters. Dragons have many normal monsters such as Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Dragon Core Hexer, and Tri-Horned Dragon. These cards are the best materials due to this XYZ monster’s effects rely on normal monsters.

Furthermore, Blue-Eyes White Dragon is the ideal material for Indigo-Eyes Silver Dragon. Blue-Eyes White Dragon is level 8 and a normal monster. This normal monster fits all of the requirements for the XYZ summon and the effects of this XYZ card.

Support:

Indigo-Eyes Silver Dragon has good support from Blue-Eyes and generic cards for dragons. The deck has many cards to set up the XYZ summon for this card. Generic cards for dragons have the effects to special summon this card.

Xyz Reborn is a trap card with the effect to special summon Indigo-Eyes Silver Dragon from the graveyard. The trap also attaches itself as material to the XYZ monster. You will not be able to activate this dragon’s first effect. It will also be unable to do a direct attack. You will be able to activate the third effect of this XYZ monster.

Overall, Indigo-Eyes Silver Dragon is a good card for Blue-Eyes White Dragon. This XYZ monster can quickly win games due to its powerful effects. It complements the legendary Blue-Eyes White Dragon. You can special summon the normal monster and increase its ATK to 4,000. Therefore, I recommend playing a copy of Indigo-Eyes Silver Dragon in your extra deck.
