[Warrior/Link/Effect]
ATK/1,300 Link -2
2 monsters with different names
All Warrior monsters on the field gain 500 ATK. If this Link Summoned card is destroyed by battle, or by an opponent’s card effect while in its owner’s Monster Zone: You can target 1 non-Link Warrior monster in your GY; Special Summon it, but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use this effect of “Ferocious Flame Swordsman” once per turn.
Ferocious Flame Swordsman is a link monster in the archetype of Flame Swordsman. This link monster provides generic support for all warriors. This card has two effects. This link monster has simple conditions for its link summon.
First Effect:
Ferocious Flame Swordsman adds 500 ATK to all warriors on the field. This effect applies to both players. This link monster also gains the ATK from this effect because he is a warrior.
Therefore, Ferocious Flame Swordsman’s ATK becomes 1,800. 1,800 is a decent amount of ATK. This monster can inflict a decent amount of damage from a director attack.
Furthermore, this effect complements all decks with warriors. Ferocious Flame Swordsman strengthens archetypes such as Noble Knights and Six Samurai. The increase in ATK benefits these archetypes during the battle phase.
However, this effect has a major flaw. Both players can benefit from it because it applies to all warriors on the field. An opponent with a deck of warriors can exploit this flaw to his or her advantage.
Second Effect:
Ferocious Flame Swordsman may special summon any non-link warrior from the graveyard if the opponent destroys this link monster and if you link summoned this link monster. This effect is a great ability for any deck with warriors. You can instantly special summon a powerful warrior from the graveyard.
In addition, the archetype of Flame Swordsman have many warriors. This effect may special summon Blue Flame Swordsman or Fighting Flame Swordsman from the graveyard. These warriors are good monsters for the archetype and are useful cards on the field.
For example, Fighting Flame Swordsman is a great option for the second effect of Ferocious Flame Swordsman. You can gain a good number of resources from this duo. Fighting Flame Swordsman adds one spell or trap with Flame Swordsman in its text from the deck to your hand when you special summon this effect monster.
However, you must link summon Ferocious Flame Swordsman for this effect. If you use other methods of the special summon of this link monster, then you cannot activate this effect. It will be a missed opportunity.
Link Summon:
The link summon Ferocious Flame Swordsman requires two monsters with different names. This requirement has simple conditions, and you can easily play this card. You need any monsters with different names. The right combination of cards can quickly summon this monster.
Noble Knight Gawayn is a good card to link summon Ferocious Flame Swordsman. Noble Knight Gawayn special summons himself from the hand if you control a light normal monster. His archetype has a few monsters for this requirement. Noble Knight Borz treats himself as a normal monster without an equip spell card. You may use Noble Knight Gawayn and Noble Knight Borz without an equip spell card to link summon Ferocious Flame Swordsman.

Support:
Ferocious Flame Swordsman has an abundance of support from Konami. Some cards from the archetype of Flame Swordsman support this card. Generic cards for warriors have synergy with this link monster.
In addition, Blue Flame Swordsman may special summon Ferocious Flame Swordsman from the graveyard. You regain the first effect of this link monster. However, you will not be able to activate this link monster’s second effect due to this special summon is not a link summon.
However, a lot of support for Flame Swordsman require “Flame Swordsman” or a card with Flame Swordsman in its text. Ferocious Flame Swordsman does not gain any support from those cards because this link monster fails to mention Flame Swordsman in its text. You cannot create combos with some cards from this archetype.
