V-Premium Deck Profile Dragonic Overlord The TurnAbout

Dragonic Overlord is an icon in Cardfight!! Vanguard, and I was playing this fantastic game for a decade without a complete deck of this archetype. I have finally completed my first deck with Dragonic Overlord. There is a first time for everything. I built a deck for Kagero’s fiery version of Overlord, Dragonic Overlord “The TurnAbout”.

Furthermore, this is an affordable deck with Dragonic Overlord “The TurnAbout”. The majority of cards cost two dollars or less. If you are a player on a budget, then I recommend you to consider Dragonic Overlord “The TurnAbout”.

Strategy:

Dragonic Overlord The TurnAbout - Deck

The deck’s strategy is overwhelming the opponent with multiple attacks from every unit with Dragonic Overlord in its name. Dragonic Overlord “The TurnAbout” and every rear-guard with Dragonic Overlord in its name present a powerful offense. The vanguard and rear-guards may have a total of six attacks in a single turn.

Furthermore, the series of Dragonic Overlord is known for their ability to stand for multiple attacks from the vanguard. This deck has a unique take on the archetype. Dragonic Overlord “The TurnAbout” stands all versions of Dragonic Overlord in the front row. The deck relies on the vanguard and the rear-guards.

Grade 3: Vanguards

Dragonic Overlord “The TurnAbout” is the deck’s most valuable vanguard. This unit stands himself and every other unit with Dragonic Overlord in its name on my field. This ability enables multiple attacks for my vanguard and rear-guard.

In addition, Dragonic Overlord “The TurnAbout” also adds 10,000 power to every Dragonic Overlord on the field. This ability is critical to the deck’s strategy. It increases my power for offense, and I can break through the opponent’s defense.

Furthermore, this ability  creates high numbers in combination with Dragonic Overlord’s first ability. Dragonic Overlord gains 10,000 power from his soul blast. I have a powerful rear-guard to pressure the opponent. Dragonic Overlord would have a total of 33,000 power from the abilities of himself and Dragonic Overlord “The TurnAbout”.  Dragonic Overlord’s power would be 43,000 with an Imaginary Gift: Force I. He becomes a major problem for the opponent.

Dragonic Overlord is the deck’s backup for the vanguard. He is a decent card to ride on the vanguard’s circle. I will gain an Imaginary Gift: Force when I ride this card.

Grade 2: Units

Every grade 2 unit in this deck have the common goal to retire the opponent’s rear-guards. They allow me to control the field. I remove the opponent’s best-guards from the field. I can prevent the opponent from intercepting attacks if I retire their grade 2 units.

In addition, their abilities trigger Flame of Hope Aermo to allow me to counter charge damage. Therefore, I am able to consistently activate my units’ abilities. The deck remains in a constant flow of action from my vanguard. Dragonic Overlord “The TurnAbout” needs a counterblast for his fantastic ability.

Dragon Dancer, Frema is a technical card in this deck. She requires two grade 3 units on my field, and this deck wants at least 2 grade 3 units on the field. Dragon Dancer, Frema gives a lot of momentum when I call her. She controls the field with her ability because she retires an opponent’s column of rear-guards and she may boost my units in the front row.

Grade 1: Units

Kagero has a fantastic list of grade 1 one units in the V-Premium Format. These cards enhance this deck. Their purpose is providing resources such as Flame of Hope Aermo and Lava Flow Dragon. Their abilities add consistency to the deck.

Flame of Hope, Aermo is an essential card for this deck. This card has the ability to counter charge damage and draw a card. He provides resources for I may consistently activate the ability of Dragonic Overlord “The TurnAbout”. The additional draw allows me to quickly access my deck’s resources.

Lava Flow Dragon is another key card for the deck. This flame dragon increases the deck’s consistency. This grade 1 allows me to add Dragonic Overlord “The Turnabout” or Dragonic Overlord from the top five cards of the deck. Therefore, Lava Flow Dragon can assist my current hand of cards and add Dragonic Overlord “The Turnabout” to the hand.

Grade 0: Trigger Lineup

I am playing a typical lineup for triggers in this deck. I have eight critical triggers, four draw triggers, and four heal triggers. Dragonic Overlord “The Turnabout” has three drive checks per turn . I have a good probability of checking a trigger.

In addition, Dragon Dancer, Nastasha is the best heal trigger for this deck. She provides a strong defense if I go second in a game. Her defensive ability helps me to block strong attacks from the opponent’s units.

The Deck in Action:

I’ve tested this deck against many of my friends’ decks. This video features Dragonic Overlord “The TurnAbout” in action against Angel Feather. The front row of three units with Dragonic Overlord in in their names overwhelms the opponent. The second wave of attacks sealed the game in my favor. Dragonic Overlord’s final attack of 43,000 power was too strong for my friend to block.

Strengths:

The strength of every deck with Dragonic Overlord is multiple attacks from the vanguard. Dragonic Overlord “The TurnAbout” and every other Dragonic Overlord on the field are able to attack the opponent twice. They heavily pressure the opponent with a strong offense.

Weaknesses:

The deck’s strategy heavily depends on Dragonic Overlord “The TurnAbout”. I am unable to play the deck’s best abilities if I do not ride Dragonic Overlord “The TurnAbout”. I must draw this card for my first or second grade 3 vanguard.

Another weakness is Star-vader, Chaos Breaker Dragon (V Series). This deck locks the rear-guards in my front row. Therefore, I am unable to unleash additional attacks from my Dragonic Overlords that are my rear-guards. Star-vader, Chaos Breaker Dragon removes my offensive capabilities.

Final Word:

All in all, Dragonic Overlord “The TurnAbout” is a fun deck. The deck’s focus on all Dragonic Overlord’s in the front row brings a new strategy for the archetype. Your vanguard and rear-guards in the front row apply a lot of pressure. The collection of rear-guards also complements this style.

Please leave your comments and suggestions about the deck in the comments. I am always trying different cards for new strategies I look forward to your comments.
