Phantom Blaster Overlord is one of the most powerful dragons in the rich lore of Cardfight!! Vanguard. Ren Suzugamori plays this card in his deck. Phantom Blaster Overlord forms a dynamic due with Blaster Dark. Phantom Blaster Dragon uses a powerful lance to defeat his foes. He has two powerful abilities and the Imaginary Gift: Force!
First Ability
Phantom Blaster Overlord is a fierce vanguard with a lot of power. He gains 10,000 power and his original Critical becomes 2 if Phantom Blaster Dragon is in the soul. You have a vanguard with the potential to deal two damage to your opponent. An attack from Phantom Blaster Overlord puts a lot of pressure on an opponent. You have an opportunity to at least deal two points of damage, and that is one-third of a player’s health.
Furthermore, this ability has fantastic synergy with Imaginary Gift: Force I. Phantom Blaster Overlord’s power becomes 33,000 with a Force Marker on the vanguard’s circle and Phantom Blaster Dragon in the soul.
In addition, Phantom Blaster Overlord’s ability is similar to Cross Ride from the original game. You gain the power and additional critical during your turn. It is a continuous ability for your turn. Phantom Blaster Overlord will always be a dangerous vanguard against any opponent.
Second Ability
Phantom Blaster Overlord retires any number of your rear-guards, and your opponent must retire the same number of his or her rear-guards. Then, you superior call a Blaster from the deck, and it gains 10,000 power. A strong rear-guard joins your field. The best option to superior call is Blaster Dark. Blaster Dark can retire an opponent’s rear-guard and intercept attacks to protect the vanguard.
Furthermore, you may want to retire two or more rear-guards against opponent’s with strong rear-guards. Clans such as Aqua Force and Nova Grappler rely on their rear-guards for additional battles. Phantom Blaster Overlord cripples the opposition, but you will also lose the same number of rear-guards. Those sacrifice may be worth it to weaken the opponent’s field.
