The souls of my comrades give me power. I will break the limit!
[ACT](VC) Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you have four or more damage):[Counter Blast(2)] Look at the top card of your deck, search for up to one «Gold Paladin» from among them, call it to an open (RC), put the rest on the bottom of your deck, and increase this unit’s [Power] by the original [Power] of the unit called with this effect until end of turn.
[CONT](VC): During your turn, this unit gets [Power]+1000 for each of your «Gold Paladin» rear-guards.
Incandescent Lion, Blond Ezel was the highlight of the Golden Paladin. His limit break superior call units to the field and he gains power equal to the superior called unit’s power. However, Blond Ezel’s limit break can be very powerful, but it is also inconsistent. You must superior call the card on top of your deck. Unlike Great Silver Wolf, Garmore, Blond Ezel’s skill does not allow you to search the deck for a unit to superior call on the field. You don’t want to superior call a trigger for two reasons. Triggers have low attack power and you’re losing the trigger’s effect. However, on the plus side you may be able to superior call a very powerful grade 3 or a high powered grade 2. Additionally you’re adding an additional unit to increase Blond Ezel’s power with both of his skills.
Overall Blond Ezel is a powerful card. His superior call skill can be a great play to finish off an opponent. Although I fear he will be replaced in the English Meta as soon as the Liberators are released in the West.
I doubt it. If anything Liberators have a bad match up with dedicated ezel deck for some reason.
