Unit of The Week: Holy Seraph, Zafkiel

[ACT](VC)1/Turn:COST [Discard a card from your hand], choose a total of up to three cards from your drop or circles other than (VC), and put them into your damage zone face up. All of your front row units get [Power]+10000 until end of turn for each normal unit put. This unit gets drive +1 until end of turn for each trigger unit put. Choose a card from your damage zone for each card put, and heal it.

One of the best cards for Angel Feather is Holy Seraph, Zafkiel. This G-Unit has a lot of great qualities due to her ability with multiple skills. Cards with the ability to manipulate the game have a lot of value and they are often powerful cards. Holy Seraph, Zafkiel manipulates the damage zone, and provides additional advantages. She provides power and gains drive checks. This G-Unit makes a major impact in games.

Ability: 

Holy Seraph, Zafkiel has a single ability with multiple skills. This G-Unit provides power, drive checks, and counter charges. You gain many advantages from this card’s single ability. The cost is a single card from the hand for many advantages from this G-Unit. 

Holy Seraph, Zafkiel may place up to three cards from the drop zone to the damage zone and send the same number of cards from the damage zone to the drop zone. The amount of cards and the type of cards trigger one of two skills. You can gain both skills if you place normal units and triggers in the damage zone.

Furthermore, this ability complements Angela Feather. The clan wants to manipulate the damage zone and use it as a resource. Units such as Black Closure, Zophiel and Underlay Celestial, Hesediel (V Series) can add cards from the damage zone to your hand. You have the opportunity to place important units from the drop zone to the damage zone, and the you will regain access to them in your hand.

Ability Part 1:

Holy Seraph, Zafkiel adds 10,000 power for every normal unit placed in the damage zone from her ability. You may add up to 30,000 power with this skill. This skill applies to your vanguard and rear-guards in the front row.

Therefore, you can build a strong front row. Each unit can hit the opponent’s vanguard without a boost. All units gain 10,000 power for each normal unit placed your front row. All of your units may pressure the opponent in battle.

For example, your vanguard and rear-guards gain 30,000 power if you place three normal units in the damage zone. This amount is a lot of power for the field. It increases the pressure on the opponent. The opponent must use a perfect guard against Holy Seraph, Zafkiel in the late game if avoid defeat.

Ability Part 2:

Holy Seraph, Zafkiel gains an additional drive check for each trigger placed in the damage zone from the drop zone. You have additional opportunities for triggers. You have great odds of checking triggers during Holy Seraph, Zafkiel’s battle.

Furthermore, Holy Seraph, Zafkiel has the potential of six drive checks for a turn. You need to place three triggers in the damage zone from this ability. This situation pressures the opponent because you have great odds of many triggers.

This ability also provides resources. The additional drive checks add four or more cards to your hand. You negate the cost of this ability if Holy Seraph, Zafkiel performs five drive checks.

In addition, the best strategy is balance. This ability has the potential to empty the deck if you constantly give six drive checks to Holy Seraph, Zafkiel for four turns. The best strategy is adding one or two drive checks.

Ability Part 3:

Holy Seraph, Zafkiel places up to three cards from the drop zone to the damage zone, and the final skill heals the same number of cards from the damage zone to the drop zone. It is a method to counter charge damage. The best option is selecting face down cards and sending them to the drop zone.

Therefore, this is the best method for counter charging cards in the damage zone in Cardfight!! Vanguard. You should always send three cards from the drop zone to the damage zone face up. You gain three counter blasts from this ability.

Furthermore, a great strategy is activating all of the skills of your rear-guards before the activation of Holy Seraph, Zafkiel’s ability. You will regain your counter blasts from the cost of your rear-guards’ abilities. The damage zone will consistently have face up cards for each turn.

Support:

Holy Seraph, Zafkiel is a generic G-Unit. You may play this card in any deck with Angel Feather. All archetypes of Angel Feather from the premium format greatly benefit from this card. This G-Units provides power, additional drive checks, and counter charges.

Black Gravers:

Holy Seraph, Zafkiel is a stellar G-Unit with the Black Gravers in the premium format. She complements the archetype’s style. This archetype heavily focuses on damage checks and manipulation of the damage zone. 

Black Closure, Zophiel has great synergy with Holy Seraph, Zafkiel. You can manipulate the damage zone and add one of the cards from the damage zone to your hand. Holy Seraph, Zafkiel may place a normal unit from the drop zone to the damage zone, and then Black Closure, Zophiel may add that particular unit to you hand. These cards are a great duo when you want a particular card in your hand.

Celestials:

Celestials manipulate the damage zone and adds cards to your hand. Holy Seraph, Zafkiel fits in this archetype if you play this G-unit correctly with this archetype. Many Celestials may only add cards with the same name as the cards in the drop zone to your hand. Some cards in the archetype superior call units.

For example, Emergency Celestial, Danielle (V Series) superior call a unit from the deck with the same name as a card in the damage zone. Holy Seraph, Zafkiel may add a normal unit from the drop zone to the damage zone. Then, Emergency Celestial, Danielle (V Series) may superior call a card with the same name from the deck.

Overall, Holy Seraph, Zafkiel is one of the best cards for Angle Feather and G-Units in Cardfight!! Vanguard. This G-Unit perfectly complements her clan with her abilities. She manipulates the damage zone as a potential resource. She places face up cards in the damage zone. The additional drive checks increases the size of your hand. She is the perfect G-Unit for Angel Feather and you can play her with any archetype. Therefore, I recommend playing four copies of Holy Seraph, Zafkiel in your deck.
