In addition, you may reduce the cost for this defensive effect. Blaze Dragon Dance, Saleema reduces the number of cards to discard for the cost for each of the opponent’s open rear-guard circles. The cost of this ability has the potential to be free if the opponent has four open rear-guard circles.
Furthermore, this ability is a lifesaver against opposing units that do not allow you to call a sentinel from your hand to the guardian circle. You can consistently create the perfect defense with Blaze Dragon Dance, Saleema. You will be only discard a few cards or no cards for the cost of Blaze Dragon Dance, Saleema’s effect.
Weakness:
Blaze Dragon Dance, Saleema is an inconsistent card in decks without Dragonic Lawkeeper (V series). Kagero also does not have many options to retire the opponent’s rear-guards during their turn outside of Dragonic Lawkeeper. Opponents will not allow you to play this G-Guardian without her heavy cost. Opponents will play many rear-guards to force you to discard four cards if you must play Blaze Dragon Dance, Saleema.
Furthermore, Blaze Dragon Dance, Saleema is a situational card for most decks. Blaze Dragon Dance, Saleema will mainly be an effective card during the late game when an opponent does not have many resources. An inexperience opponent with very few rear-guards on the field will unknowingly decrease the cost for this G-Guardian .
