Cards from D Start Deck 05 Tomari Seto -Aurora Valkyrie

The deck of Aurora Battle Princess from Brandt Gate controls the field and the opponent’s resources. Aurora Battle Princess, Seraph Snow and the other rear-guards imprison the opponent’s rear-guards in Galaxy Central Prison, Galactolus. An opponent must use his or her resources to regain their rear-guards.

Therefore, the Aurora Battle Princesses have a good balance of offense and defense. You imprison the opponent’s best rear-guards. He or she loses attackers for offense. Your units gain abilities that are based on the number of rear-guards in your prison.

In addition, Aurora Battle Princess, Seraph Snow helps you to get your resources. She gains triple drive if you have imprisoned three or more of the opponent’s rear-guards. Her requirement is an easy task to fulfill. Aurora Battle Princess, Seraph Snow increases your odds of checking triggers.

Ride Deck: [usr 5]

The D-Standard Format introduces the ride deck to Cardfight!! Vanguard. Players can consistently play the correct card for his or her vanguard on every turn. The ride deck contains your grade 0 (starter), grade 1, grade 2, and grade 3 vanguards.

Aurora Battle Princesses have a great lineup for their ride deck. The best grade 1 unit for it is Aurora Battle Princess, Kyanite Blue. She adds Galaxy Central Prison, Galactolus to your hand. Therefore, you can quickly play Galaxy Central Prison, Galactolus, and you are ready to imprison the opponent’s rear-guards.

Recommended Cards for Ride Deck:

Support: [usr 4.5]

D Start Deck 05: Tomari Seto – Aurora Valkyrie features a lot of good cards for support of Galaxy Central Prison, Galactolus. Many cards in this start deck have the ability to imprison the opponent’s rear-guards. You should be able to imprison at least one of the opponent’s rear-guards on every turn.

In particular, Security Patroller provides consistency for the strategy. Security Patroller imprisons one of the opponent’s rear-guards. This ability helps Aurora Battle Princess, Seraph Snow to activate her strongest ability.

Alert Guard Gunner is a decent rear-guard for the deck. This unit imprisons two of the opponent’s rear-guards. Therefore, you greatly reduce the opponent’s offense and defense with a single ability.

On the negative side, the deck contains one bad card, and it is Jeweled Combination, Jewelion. This rear-guard does not provide any value to the deck. It does not have a ability. It does not have higher stats to compensate of its lack of an ability.

Upgrade The Deck:

Bushiroad has released new cards for Aurora Battle Princesses in D Booster Set 01: Genesis of the Five Greats and D Booster Set 02: A Brush with the Legends. I suggest removing cards such as Jeweled Combination, Jewelion from the deck because they provide very little value. You can replace those cards with better cards for the deck’s consistency.

My first recommendation for an upgrade is Aurora Battle Princess, Agra Rouge from D Booster Set 01: Genesis of the Five Greats. This amazing card has a offensive ability and fantastic defensive abilities. Aurora Battle Princess, Agra Rouge imprisons an opponent’s rear-guard in his or her front row. In addition, Aurora Battle Princess, Agra Rouge’s shield becomes 15,000 if you have imprisoned two or more of the opponent’s rear-guards.

Play Testing:

I enjoyed playing D Start Deck 05: Tomari Seto – Aurora Valkyrie with my friends. I played Aurora Battle Princess, Seraph Snow in my first game of the D-Standard Format. My friend, Chris played Heavy Artillery of Dust Storm, Eugene of the Dragon Empire. I controlled the flow of the game with my deck’s ability to imprison the opponent’s rear-guards.

Furthermore, Aurora Battle Princess, Seraph Snow is a consistent card, and she led me to victory. I consistently activated her ability for triple drive. I was gaining many cards from my hand for resources.

Final Rating: [usr 4.8]

I strongly recommend buying D Start Deck 05: Tomari Seto – Aurora Valkyrie. Overall, D Start Deck 05: Tomari Seto – Aurora Valkyrie is one of the best decks from Bushiroad. The strategy and themes of the units are the most appealing aspects. Aurora Battle Princess, Seraph Snow is an awesome vanguard, and I love cards with the ability to gain triple drive. If you love the ability to control the flow of the game, then D Start Deck 05: Tomari Seto – Aurora Valkyrie is a great deck for you.
