Damned Charging Lance
[ACT](VC):COST [Counter Blast (1) & retire three rear-guards], your opponent chooses three of his or her rear-guards, and retires them. This unit gets [Power]+15000/[Critical]+1 until end of turn.
[ACT](VC)1/Turn:If your opponent has four or less cards in his or her damage zone and no rear-guards, COST [Soul Blast (1) grade 3], and deal one damage to your opponent’s vanguard.
Phantom Blaster Dragon is the leader of the Shadow Paladins. His character has made his marks through Cardfight!! Vanguard’s long history. He was originally Thing Saver Dragon, but was corrupted by an evil force. His evil version has returned in Cardfight!! Vanguard V. He is carrying his deadly Damned Charging Lance.
Phantom Blaster Dragon retires three of your and your opponent’s rear-guards, and gains 15,000 power and one critical during your turn. This skill with a Force marker raises Phantom Blaster Dragon’s power to 38,000. It is a much better skill than the original Phantom Blaster Dragon’s skill. Your opponent suffers a big lost by losing three rear-guards. However, your opponent chooses which units that he or she retires from the field.
Furthermore, you want to play rear-guards with skills to superior call units to the field. These rear-guards provide units for Phantom Blaster Dragon’s skill. Then, Phantom Blaster Dragon retires your new units from the deck, and you will reserve cards in your hand. You can call new units to the back row to boost your rear-guards in the front row. You also have the option save those cards for defense.

- Skull Witch, Nemain
Phantom Blaster Dragon’s second skill is an automatic strike that deals one point of damage to your opponent. You will have some control over the flow of the game. This skill adds more pressure to your opponent. You can push your opponent to four or five damage, and perform the finishing blow with Phantom Blaster Dragon’s attack. As a result of being pushed to five damage, your opponent is forced to block all of your attacks.
Premium Tips
Phantom Blaster Dragon is a strong vanguard and heart in the premium format. I recommend playing it in Blaster decks. He is not restricted to Generation Break or Limit Break from past eras, and you can use its first skill before your opponent reaches grade 3. He delivers a lot of pressure in the early game. Then, you can proceed to striding G-units on your following turn.
