Raizers change overflowing spirit into their kinetic energy.
[AUTO](RC):When your vanguard attacks, COST [Counter Blast (1) & Soul Blast (1)], [Stand] this unit, and if your opponent has four or more cards in his or her damage zone, this unit gets [Power]+3000 until end of turn.
The new Burstraizer is far superior to its previous version. He is loaded with more offense. I play four copies of Burstraizer in my Nova Grappler deck. He is one of my best rear-guards in the deck. His skill is great in any Nova Grappler deck, and I enjoy calling him to the field to give me an extra charge of offense.
Burstraizer stands when your vanguard attacks, and gains 3,000 power if your opponent has four or more damage. He does not rely on Perfect Raizer and Asura Kaiser to stand. You may use their skills to stand other rear-guards for more offense. This skill makes him a great card in any Nova Grappler deck. He is to limited to a specific vanguard.
Furthermore, one of my favorite strategies is calling Burstraizer to an Accel circle. He gets the benefits of 10,000 power to become a rear-guard with 19,000 power. His power rises to 22,000 after your use his skill. Perfect Raizer’s second skill can grant an additional 5,000 power to Burstraizer to make his total power 27,000! Then, your opponent will not be able to hide behind a defensive trigger to avoid Burstraizer’s second attack.
You can generate seven attacks in a single turn with Perfect Raizer’s skills. Burstraizer will stand by his own skill, and Perfect Raizer stands your other two rear-guards. Then, your rear-guards will be ready to attack again this turn. Play this combo perfectly, and you can deal serious damage to your opponent. At least one rear-guard’s attack should hit the opposing vanguard.
Card Rating
Overall, Burstraizer is an amazing card. I become every excited when I active his skill. I know he will pressure my opponent. Burstraizer will be a staple for many years. He is a great first step for Raizers becoming a strong archetype in the Standard format.
