[Trap Card]
Target 1 “Red-Eyes” monster you control; equip this card to it. It can make up to 2 attacks on monsters during each Battle Phase. You can send this Equip Card to the GY, then target 1 Effect Monster on the field; equip that target to the monster this card was equipped to, and if you do, while a monster is equipped to it by this effect, its ATK/DEF become equal to the original ATK/DEF of that equipped monster.
Red-Eyes Fang with Chain is a modern version of Kunai with Chain for Red-Eyes. Both of its effects influence the offensive capabilities of a monster with Red-Eyes in its name. This trap card becomes an equip card with its first effect. This trap card can also equip an effect monster of either player to your monster.

First Effect:
Red-Eyes Fang with Chain targets one Red-Eyes monster from your field and you equip this trap to it. This trap allows the monster to attack monsters up to two times during the battle phase. It is a unique effect because a trap card is equipped to a monster like an equip spell card. The additional attack on a monster creates multiple strategies.
Furthermore, two attacks from a single monster have strong benefits. Red-Eyes Fang with Chain allows a monster such as Red-Eyes Black Dragon to destroy up to two of the opponent’s monsters by battle. Red-Eyes Black Dragon’s attack points must exceed the attack points or defense points of the opponent’s monsters to destroy them in battle and for Red-Eyes Black Dragon to survive the battle. Red-Eyes Black Dragon can attack monsters up to two times per battle phase. As a result, the opponent can lose two monsters by battle and Red-Eyes Black Dragon can potentially inflict battle damage to the opponent in both battles.
In addition, Red-Eyes Fang with Chain and Red-Eyes Slash Dragon have synergy. You equip Red-Eyes Fang with Chain to Red-Eyes Slash Dragon. This trap enhances the offense of this fusion monster. Red-Eyes Slash Dragon gains 200 attack points when it equips a warrior from your graveyard as an equip spell to itself. As a result, Red-Eyes Slash Dragon has 3,000 attack points with a warrior equipped to it. This fusion monster can make up to two attacks against monsters during the battle phase if it has Red-Eyes Fang with Chain equipped to it.
Second Effect:
The second effect of Red-Eyes Fang with Chain adjusts attack points and defense points, and can remove an opponent’s monster from their field. This effect requires you to send Red-Eyes Fang with Chain to the graveyard as a cost, and this effect targets an effect monster on the field. Then, you equip this effect monster to the monster that was equipped with Red-Eyes Fang with Chain. In addition, your monster’s attack points and defense points become equal to the original attack points and defense points of the monster while the monster is equipped to it.
Furthermore, Red-Eyes Fang with Chain has multiple options for its target. You can target an opponent’s effect monster and equip it to your monster. It can serve as a method to remove your opponent’s monster from his or her field. You also have the option to equip your own effect monster to your monster that this trap was equipped to.
For instance, Red-Eyes Fang with Chain can be equipped to your Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon. You can send Red-Eyes Fang with Chain to the graveyard and target an opponent’s Dark Magician of Chaos. Then, this trap equips Dark Magician of Chaos to Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon. As a result, the attack points and defense points of Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon become 2,800 attack points and 2,600 defense points like the Dark Magician of Chaos.

Matchups: Weaknesses
Red-Eyes Fang with Chain has weaknesses like all cards in Yu-Gi-Oh!. Opponents can play around this trap’s second effect. Yu-Gi-Oh! has cards with effects to protect them from card effects. Opponents can also destroy this trap.
For instance, some monsters are unaffected by card effects. Red-Eyes Fang with Chain cannot affect those monsters with its second effect. For example, Red-Eyes Fang with Chain cannot affect Blackwing Full Armor Master from the opponent’s field.
Furthermore, Red-Eyes Fang with Chain is vulnerable to removal. Trap cards require setup. You can set Red-Eyes Fang with Chain but you cannot activate it during the same turn when you set it. An opponent can destroy Red-Eyes Fang with Chain before or after its activation with cards such as Mystical Space Typhoon.
