First Effect:

Assault Sonic Warrior special summons itself from hand if you control Junk Warrior, Assault Mode Activate, or another card with those cards in its text. This effect fits in decks with synchro monsters. Your field has another monster for synchro material.

Therefore, Assault Sonic Warrior is setting up another synchro summon. It is a weak monster in terms of its 1,000 ATK, and it will not be on the board for long. You can pair Assault Sonic Warrior with a tuner for a synchro summon after you special summon this card.

Second Effect:

Assault Sonic Warrior adds a monster with Synchron in its name from the deck to your hand when you normal or special summon it to the field. This effect is setting up a synchro summon. Monsters with Synchron in their names are tuner monsters. This archetype has many monsters, and you can add the best Synchron in your particular deck to your hand.

For example, Quickdraw Synchron is a great option for this effect of Assault Sonic Warrior. This tuner monster can substitute any Synchron tuner monster for a synchro summon. You have more options from the extra deck because this tuner bypasses some requirements.

Stardust Synchron is a tuner monster, and a unique option for Assault Sonic Warrior. These cards can enable a synchro summon. You can tribute Assault Sonic Warrior and special summon Stardust Synchron. Your field now has this tuner alongside Junk Warrior. You may use Stardust Synchron and Junk Warrior as synchro materials to synchro summon Navy Dragon Mech.

Assault Sonic Warrior adds 500 attack points to all of your monsters for the turn when you use this card as synchro material. This effect can pressure the opponent. Your monsters gain a respectable amount of power and can inflict additional damage in battle with their increase in their ATK.

For example, Junk Warrior’s ATK increases from 2,300 to 2,800 with third effect of Assault Sonic Warrior. This synchro monster can now destroy some monsters that it normally would not be able to destroy. Junk Warrior with 2,800 ATK can now destroy a monster such as Firewall Dragon with 2,500 ATK in battle.

Synchro Material:

Assault Sonic Warrior can be synchro material for a variety of synchro monsters. Its effects naturally lead to this card to being material for a synchro summon. You have the tuner monster alongside this card and any other card to meet the conditions of a synchro summon.

Matchup: Weaknesses

Assault Sonic Warrior has many weaknesses. The card cannot protect itself from the opponent’s card effects. A variety of cards can counter this warrior. Some cards can destroy it after you summon it and some monsters may negate its effects.

The archetype of Trap Hole counters this card. This series of traps can destroy or banish this card. Trap Hole destroys Assault Sonic Warrior when you normal summon it. Banishing Trap Hole banishes Assault Sonic Warrior after you summon it, and some synchro decks will not be able to access this card from banishment.

Furthermore, cards with effects to negate effects can counters Assault Sonic Warrior. Effect Veiler, Infinite Impermanence, and Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon can negate the effects of this monster. These cards disrupt Assault Sonic Warrior, and the strategy with Synchron. You will lose its ability to search the deck when you summon it.

Overall, Assault Sonic Warrior can be a useful card in decks with Synchrons. This warrior supports synchro summons. It adds consistency to decks with its ability to search the deck for Synchrons. You will have the key cards for your synchro summons. Therefore, I recommend playing Assault Sonic Warrior in your deck!
